Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Don't know yet.

There's a really good chance. It's probably one of those 'you came in and did your job now go do whatever you want' things.
hes probably gone. Someone will overpay for him probably and the saints will let him go.

Dang, runners... I always look at you with awe. I would like to one day reach the point where I am not thinking of death as I run, but for now elliptical is my best friend.
I will do 30 minutes on said friend tonight. Pinky swear! >_<

Oh and I totally love Tai Chi. It's harder than I thought - it builds up your muscle tone quite a bit to have complete control over every movement. Now I just need a misty beach at dawn. Hard to find one in Kansas though.

That sounds right.

He really played amazing this past season - he's earned whatever money he gets.

I knew he would leave, though, and that's why I didn't buy his jersey.
lol good job. I cant believe the bears they are spending the bank this season. It seems like a crazy last ditch effort to finally be relevant (whcih would fail probably😛 )

I know, right? Kind of out of nowhere.

I'm really surprised the Cowboys and Redskins aren't going nuts with money right now. If it were all about money for free agents, I would also expect the Texans to get involved, since they're one of the more valuable franchises in the country (surprisingly).

i wish the eagles would spend money they are snakes with their ****

wouldn't mind having thomas jones

Hahaha, I think I did 30 minutes on the elliptical earlier in the week. Totally zonked out after that. I also think of death while running, but that's because I have to run across the street to get to school in the mornings.:laugh::laugh:

I have no endurance.

Haha, thinking of death while running. For some, its abysmally boring. For me, I absolutely can't exercise on ellipticals, threadmills, stationary bikes, etc. I need to physically be transported somewhere. I'm screwed if I move somewhere that actually has a winter and can't run outside. But to each her own, right? I figure everyone should find some exercise activity that suits them and stick w/ it.

I've never tried tai chi! I can imagine that the finely controlled movements require a lot of energy. Pilates can be similar in this way.

tool of the day

http://www.parkavenuelaser.com/

1. the guy actually pays mensa for certification (probably through mensa, i mean come on, there are porn stars who are mensa certified)
2. http://www.parkavenuelaser.com/about_drchynn.php

go to the bottom, go to hobbies

Tennis (played on the court next to Anna Kournikova when she was 11 before turning pro at Nick Bollitteieri Academy in Bradenton, FL)

who writes that?

he does take NYU pre-meds for internships and lets them do their own histories and operate a laser though. they don't get paid but they get a free laser eye corrective surgery after the summer

but...he's a CERTIFIED genius. :meanie:

yeah. mensa certifies genius's.

this guy is cool and all, but he has nothing on Dr. Ming Wang. Has an MD from Hahvad and a PhD in laser physics from MIT. but really, that's chump change. according to his site,

"An innovative eye surgeon, a laser physicist, a champion ballroom dancer, a musician and a philanthropist, Ming Wang, M.D., Ph.D. is the epitome of a modern-day Renaissance man and a true artist."

He builds new eyes for poor people.

A friend of mine shadowed him and said it was "weird"

i find it pretty hilarious that the guy i posted about is the creep offering the studio apartment

that used to be me, so you can definitely start running if you have the desire🙂 i couldn't even run 1 mile without stopping a year ago!

thanks for all the encouragement everyone!

as far as nfl talk goes, my giants desperately need help defensively. i feel like we might be better off getting it from the draft rather than through free agency though.

Back from the competition. I threw that test on the ground!

I sincerely hope you all get that reference, but if not:

You know it man! We have this, we so have this.

We should put odds on which one of us is first. If we get into both, I'll be tempted to drive out to Cali to congratulate you this summer. Of course, I'd have to stop in Houston to give Spurs some Jack along the way.

Congrats!!! Such a great feeling... every time someone gets into a top choice, it just reminds me that this process does have a bright side. 👍

Guyski, now that you've made your announcement, I expect major celebration today - don't let us down! I want you on here at 3am making amazing drunken celebratory posts after your great night out. 👍

Off to do stuff.

For the record, not in favor of the Bears trades. Peppers MAYBE. I like Taylor more. Bears + Mike Martz = Need OT + WRs.

I need to physically be transported somewhere. I'm screwed if I move somewhere that actually has a winter and can't run outside.
This year, during the couple of months each year in Kansas where my soul doesn't try to leave my body upon stepping out the door, as winters are freezing and summers are humid infernos, I will try running at least once. I haven't been this fit in years, so I may actually last a couple of minutes before I begin contemplating my mortality.
What is the best way to get started? I don't want to bang up my joints (still a bit overweight! >_<) or mentally scar myself by starting off too hardcore and then crying afterwards.

Congrats guyski79! Enjoy the day smothered in sweetness sauce of getting your first choice!

yay guyski!!

so glad it's friday too, it's been a long week

Animated avatars aren't animated for me! It's very tragic. Everyone says how cute jla and Sammich's avatars are and they're just staring at me and not moving or anything. Does anyone know how to fix this!? I want to see them move!

Nearing hour 10 of 12.5 at work today.

I'm getting sloppy tonight

I'll be sitting at home drinking coffee and trolling the internet all night. Someone else better be here. (I'll probably go to sleep early though, I'm wore out).

Start w/ smaller distances and lower speeds and then gradually work your way up to longer distances with increasing speeds. Anyone can get hurt by doing too much too fast. To get back in shape after an running injury sidelined me, I walked/jogged. I would jog for one song on my ipod and then walk the next. I did this for 20 min, then 25, then 30, etc. Eventually you can jog for 2 songs, walk for 1, and increase the total length of workout. Walking just by itself has the cardio benefits, especially if your walking at a good clip.
