ugh i think im already getting bored of the oscars
 
I find it annoying that war movies continue to be made and praised. How many times can you make a war movie that tells the same story?

Oh, and I also found out the ending for Shutter Island and I called it about 4 months ago. :clap:

soo jsut got around to watching Greys since I was out about town on Thursday and I see that they have a plastic surgeon...perform surgery on the ossicles (the tiny bones in your middle ear that allow you to hear)
I would laugh if it wasn't so ridiculously...ridiculous!

I think that's what I hate most about award shows. I can't tell if things are supposed to be funny or if they are just mistakes.

Like that Carmen Diaz/Jude Law thing.

half way through so far....and they already did an "awake" surgery.
Most ridiculous things on taht show I can suspend my disbelief for but I've been around head&neck surgeons for too long to let the otosclerosis surgery issue go. lol

In the show they've mentioned before that he also is an ENT specialist.

I guess I missed that one since he has never done anything but burns and stuffs.
Oh and I hope he meant otologist when he said ENT specialist....because there are more than one kind.

Oof. My ankle is not approving of this whole workout plan.... And I still get way too tired way too quickly. And I still have not lost weight...

Why do people work out again? This sucks.

hey sammich have you tried swimming? less impact on the ankles. stick to it! don't give up just yet!
 
I am trying to be quiet because the only thing i can think of right now is of no interest to anyone outside the Duke thread lol
 
Taty! 🙁 Running is sucking. What do I do?

I might have to go back to elliptical type machines for awhile to chill my ankle out.. It is super unhappy.

Why haven't I lost weight?!?!?!?!?!?

so I just watched the entire first season of "Breaking Bad" today. excellent show -- and definitely would have made chemistry lab a lot more fun

i've definitely been in some sketch pools, a la too much chlorine, wads of hair. gross gross gross. but if you can find a good clean one, well worth it!

It's more that swimming in front of strangers/ being in a bathing suit in front of strangers = no thank you
 
although ... a lot of the teams on this season's amazing race bother me

Maybe elliptical would work for you. I remember you said you had a surgery for your ankle...you may have been d-r-u-n-k-o at the time of this convo.
Maybe you can talk to your doc about what kind of movement would minimize the pain?
As for the weight....remember the rule!!!
