Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Maybe elliptical would work for you. I remember you said you had a surgery for your ankle...you may have been d-r-u-n-k-o at the time of this convo.
Maybe you can talk to your doc about what kind of movement would minimize the pain?
As for the weight....remember the rule!!!
I can do whatever - the only limiting factor is what it can take. it's KILLING right now, so I definitely think I need to tone down the running a bit. Which is sort of a shame since I didn't improve that much.

But seriously, after 2 weeks shouldn't my weight have done something? I haven't been eating that poorly.

*sigh*

It's more that swimming in front of strangers/ being in a bathing suit in front of strangers = no thank you

fair enough. keep working hard! just don't stop...believin, hold on to that feelin.

although ... a lot of the teams on this season's amazing race bother me

yah some teams irritate me too. its fun to watch karma bite teams in the ass if they deserve it.

As hard as it is to do, try not to worry about the weight -- just aim to get some exercise in every day for your health and the weight will come along with it (or...come off along with it, I suppose).

I think a lot of people end up quitting exercise regimens because they don't see the results they want to see (especially since weight is a really accessible marker for people to gauge their results), so just do your best to not let it get you down!

I think the amazing race would be a good way to spend my summer before med school

Anyone want to be my teammate?

Sammich, it's supposed to rain this Friday-Mon in Boston. Does "controlling the weather" fall under your mod powers?

Won't your blobbiness interfere with, I don't know, running around from place to place? I guess diva can carry you in a bucket or something.

I only say this because sometimes I actually do picture you as a talking/typing blobfish. And it brings lolz to my heart.

Well. I am off to bed. Send me some comforting vibes for when I get my Duke email.
<3 you team!

Yeah, but I'm trying to break all the stereotypes that people have about blobfishes. Nobody would think a blob could win the amazing race

<3 you team!

I googled comforting vibes and this is what I got:

Plants growing out of your butt pocket=comforting?

Yeah, but I'm trying to break all the stereotypes that people have about blobfishes. Nobody would think a blob could win the amazing race

👍 You show the world what blobs are made of.

i think they would pick us to be on the show specifically b/c its a inspiring story.

soo jsut got around to watching Greys since I was out about town on Thursday and I see that they have a plastic surgeon...perform surgery on the ossicles (the tiny bones in your middle ear that allow you to hear)
I would laugh if it wasn't so ridiculously...ridiculous!

haha that annoyed me too! it also annoys me when they're the ones going to greet the ambulance-you're surgeons, not e.r. docs!!

hope everyone had a great weekend!🙂

good luck. I would rather the blobfish do who wants to be a millionaire and become the blobfish millionaire, make a spoof off slumdog millionaire. Then you can use that million dollars to pay med-school and become a doctor who reaches out to the blobfish community.

hey oakland, hows it goin?

I'm tired and sore as hell to be honest. I ironically just got back from a nice mid-night run. Almost got ran over twice by the same idiot. I was wearing a white hoody and blue and white shorts with white shoes... like how did they not see me? Anyways, 5 miles in a solid 40 minutes. I'm rusty. I'm so tired too and my feet smell really bad.

How've you been?

OK, one more episode of Heroes then bed.

It sucks that spring break is over.

I just want to state that spring break is never over.... in Cancun. Seriously every single time I've been to Cancun it's like spring break there 24/7 365. So if you want to continue spring break... travel to Cancun. Or google spring break cancun or something of that nature. I'm sure the results will remind you of spring break.

I'm not a huge fan of Sunday nights.

Tomorrow I will be productive, and it will begin a productive week. I know it. I will wake up before 11 tomorrow and actually do stuff.

Me too! I'm determined to go to my 915. Mainly because i want to get my 106% test back Plus I have tons due Tuesday.

Haha I've never been one for wild spring breaks. I spend them with my baby sister in FL 🙂

I'm not like the most outgoing guy by any means. But my boys dragged me into a trip to cancun and they had been before and it was truly amazing. I've never seen so many people lose their inhibitions and let loose. Quite an enjoyable time. Although, my mom accidentally wandered upon my photo albums from my three cancun trips and she was not happy in the least. Not in the least bit.

I started a Facebook bracket - so that we can see how we do against each other and any of your other friends.

If you want in, go add the CBSsports.com Bracket application and I will invite you to the group, if I haven't already. It only lets me invite 20 per day, so if you want in PM/facebook me or just wait and I will get to you later.

You mean not even a teeny weeny, infinitesimally small bit happy?

i used to run at night too. there's something just more exhilirating to me. i would always be afraid that someone was chasing me (i know, paranoid), so i would haul ass. my faster runs happened at night. consider a sexy glo-in-the-dark running vest to wear at night. 5 in 40 is awesome! go shower smelly boy 😛

i've been good, still living life in limbo. it was the week of waitlists...sigh.

Seems like it most definitely was.

Nope. The reality was that I hadn't taken most of the pictures, so like 85% of the pictures were of females who were scantily clad, or weren't dressed at all. For some odd reason my mother thought that the shear excess of boobage was poor decision making on my behalf. I tried telling her that I was alone in our hotel room studying and she didn't believe me (especially because I was in like most of the pics). It is what it is; me and her have both moved on. I'm debating whether to post the pics up online or not via collegehumor or something of that nature.

At night the air seems brisker and cooler and it's nice not having the sun beating down on me. Plus, I run around the lake I live on and it's so beautiful at night. You see the fireflies (although not tonight) and the stars and the lake is calm. I always run longer when I run at night too. I was over 40 (probably between 43-48) and whats horrible is that it's all I could do. I am so tired it's unbelievable. I'm like still catching my breath.

yeah, waitlists suck. everyone is on the same page as you and some people have really been emotional wrecks about it. hopefully you get in where you will be able to succeed and where you will enjoy the next 4 years.

i've never seen a firefly. 🙁 you'll get back in shape. sucking air is the worst though.

yah, waitlists suck. its just not any sort of closure. i was really only upset about one of them but its life. maybe it work out, it probably won't. i'm happy with the acceptances i have so far. i will definitely be happy where ever i go in the next 4 years - i feel that its what i bring to the table and make out of my time.

this is so me!!!!

amen!! proves though that you can use the fear and adrenaline for good things.

Oakland, take that garbage off this thread. That is some of the most pointless, bad sounding music I've ever heard.

Are you kidding me?

Haha I know. I just had to do it since we were talking about fireflies. The actual flies are at like 2:33 or something in the video. It's around there, 2:33-2:38 something like that.

Yeah, I don't actually know what the song is about. But it's pretty bad.

Glad I have your agreement on the matter.

I used to love driving by the Mississippi River spillway levee around dusk - you would get massive fireflies in the woods.
