Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i'm also curious why a friend would bash the alma mater of another friend.

them cornell kids are serious. 6 suicides in 6 months, i hope that win today makes them happy

i heard MIT lowered their rates/improved wellness by giving 1 day off a month. they should follow with that

I just had a thought. Wanted to share it with you guys. (warm fuzzies the lot of ya).

Do you think it would be easier to be at the top of your respective class if say you went to a traditionally lower ranked (more importantly, traditionally less competitive applicant pool [dont bs me!! we all read MSAR]) school?

Silly thought, not actually considering this for "the where do I go." But it IS curious right?
____________

1. MCATs are proven to be the biggest predicator of success in medical school :meanie::meanie:

2. Less competitive school = lower average on the MCAT

3. You are a bad ***** mamajama and are above that schools average so just maybe you (is 1 is correct) more likely to be in the top of your class. ((yeah, you have to keep working hard etc etc and I in NO WAY think its this simple, but it is interesting))

I think that it will be somewhat easier to be ranked higher, and it depends on where you would be hypothetically ranked to begin with. Every school has their rockstar group and I don't think there's really much difference between them. The bigger difference is at the bottom of the classes which is where I think the real significant class rank difference would be seen.

And I of course wouldn't pick schools based on this (I know you said this in you post). Because in life there are just impressive people, not impressive schools.

I think the variance though between the top few would be based on the littlest things actually. Like one question on a test etc. But I do agree that the rank is more important in the bottom few who just look :scared::scared:

High above Cayugas waters
there's a small hotel
Cornell students go to heaven
cause they live in hell

but nice win today 🙂

a word that gets asterisked out if you type it 😉

ok off to wash my car -- gotta take it in to get serviced tomorrow and the guy lectured me the last time i brought it in dirty 🙄

well, if you were to eat corn, it would show up ca. 24 hours later in what cornell eats

today's games have been kind of disappointing

we were so spoiled yesterday

wtf are you guys talking about. i'm feelin stupid trying to figure it out

I like to see how the #1 seeds look.

Good point.

I think Duke's biggest test will be the Cal-Louisville winner. If they can beat them, we'll see how far they get.

One point I just realized is that the #1 seed can never get a double digit opponent in the second round. It sometimes seems the second round opponent for a #1 seed is usually the toughest, where some lower seeds get the upset winners and blow them away.

honestly duke got the easiest possible matchups until the final four. they even got the worst of the 16th seeds

apparently i don't get along too well with the 2015ers. sigh.
lol its ok bleargh. I think some people just get a bit too oversensitive. Its online i never understood why some people get so riled up. In a few years none of us will likely b here lol.

They got the easiest everything. Villanova as a 2 is a joke. Baylor is up and down.

I hope they make the Final Four and then get slaughtered by Kentucky or WVU.

nova looks like weak sauce, baylor inexperienced, purdue is sans hummel... the big test to me seems to be the Louie in the second round

louisville has sucked at times tho. they could go down to jerooooooome and uc charles barkley
