yeah. 50% eastern european, 25% italian, 25% (though possibly a little less, because of questionable family history on my mom's side) native american. annnnnd i look jewish. like, really ridiculously jewish.

though i do get asked ALL THE TIME if i'm puerto rican. all of my spanish-speaking clients assume i'm puerto rican, and so do random other people i speak with at work or on the street. it's always really specific too... not just latina. puerto rican.

Yea but I'm from a higher caste - we tend to be much lighter skinned [this isn't a caste-ist statement or anything like that - just true - it's actually the easiest way to figure out someone's caste in india]. South indians especially tend to run the whole range from really dark to pretty freakin pale... (well, by brown standards anyway - we won't even come close to the Welsh!)
