for real though, i'll probably root for the netherlands, ivory coast (even though they're in the group of death) and south africa because they're the home team
 
Wish I didn't fall asleep during part of the masters on the couch ... now I can't sleep. Couldn't help it after going out in Niagara last night - was dead.
 
For being so gung-ho about international soccer... I don't really have a team I like rooting for besides the US.

I think I take it on a match by match basis. I do like seeing France advance though... I like hearing "Aller les blues!"

I just figure that most people will obviously be rooting for USA...but realistically they probably wont win....so I always have another favorite.


I used to really like Rooney. I haven't watched him much lately. Brasil is always fun to watch because the emphasis is actually on skill. I did like Italy, until I felt like they cheated. I just really hate when people take a foul when they know it wasn't a foul. seems cheap. You're a professional ya know, act like one, play like one...

one of my goals this year... haven't accomplished yet

I have a friend that lives in Rochester so that should get checked off the list this summer.

Also, did anyone else think the masters lacked fireworks this year?

Nice, that's where I am from...just went up to visit some friends who go to NU. And yeah ... I couldn't help but laugh when tiger missed those two 1 inch putts in a row. :laugh:

I know, I was just teasing. I gave my real response a few posts later

England's OK but (a) it's basically like rooting for the US and (b) they're in the USA group.

Brazil is great but it's more fun rooting for an underdog.

And I still love that commercial that shows the Italian players "training" by practicing all the dives they take :laugh:

It was OK. Mostly, the last few holes were largely underwhelming compared to the rest of the tournament. But yeah, going into Sunday, the PGA couldn't have asked for more -- Tiger and Lefty still in contention with lots of others who hadn't won yet competing

The announcer was like "It happens to even Tiger Woods"

Golf can be such a cruel game...
 
Also that shot from the pinestraw and through the trees on the par 5 is NOT Lefty's greatest shot of his career...

... bc he BOTCHED the 4 footer afterwards!!

Too close to the beginning of baseball and the end of the NBA regular season for me.
 
Woww, hot tub time machine and repo men both suck. I can't watch more than 20 minutes of these movies. What a waste of time dling them. I think I'm just gonna call it for tonight. C ya guuys.

bb won, no surprise. I knew he was my big competition going in if he paid attention. I should've beaten EC if either 1) I wasn't an idiot and didn't play Ron Artest when the percentage stats were the only ones in play, 2) Kurt Rambis wasn't a ***** and realized that Kevin Love is the best player on the team, 3) Andrew Bynum didn't get hurt. But c'est la vie.

To whoever talked about the Masters: yeah, I know what you're saying. Total shocker, really, since it should've been epic. Oh well.

I beat Jackson in the 5th place game. But I don't think she was paying attention, since she didn't play Lebron. :laugh:

If you would've told me that the Tigers would be doing this well and Verlander would be pitching with an ERA of 9.00 I would've told you that you were insane. This is honestly looking to be a promising season for the Tigers. Wow.

Red Wings won today (Sunday) as well. I'm very happy to be a Detroit sports fan right now.

I offered him to stoney in a trade since her catcher is injured. I think she could use his bat also.

If it goes through I'll pick up a worse but serviceable catcher.
 
Yeah, I hate waking up early as well. And I truly cannot fall asleep what so ever, even though I'm so tired that I'm seeing things
