Yeah just one year. I'd go visit for winter break, so that would make it much easier.
 
I'm a huge fan of going someplace new and gaining new experiences for a long enough time to be immersed, but a short enough time to go back to normal life quickly.

That's why I would love some away rotations and an away summer research thingy.
 
Kid in my mom's elementary school class got MRSA and the principal told her to "keep it under wraps, we don't want a panic here." 😱 I told her that's ridiculous and she needs to tell someone. WTF.

FWIW, i like non-nonstop flights. that way you can get out, stretch your legs, and see a new airport :laugh:

😱 that doesn't sound like a good plan. The highschool I went to tried to cover up the fact some of the football players had MRSA and there was a big outrage. This was years after I went there thankfully.

Yeah. I'm kinda peeved that she was exposed to this first off. Secondly the kid had it undiagnosed for a week and was in school. And knowing 3rd graders, probably picked at it and then touched everything. Fricken ridiculous, just happened last week.

lol, i almost upgraded to first class tix to ATL last week. it was $50 on delta i think, i really wanted the sleep

I know... but milk slows the protein uptake and adds the extra calories 🙁 I have my night protein with milk, that's what I look forward to, lol
 
So I went to bed at 2am last night because I had to wake up early this morning to shadow. That was one of the worst nights of sleep I've gotten all semester. It was because I didn't sleep at my usual 4. :lame:

That's pretty hardcore, man. It's not that many extra calories!

I guess this is why I could never change my diet that drastically. Even when I was drinking protein shakes, I was doing it unhealthy. :laugh:

just got an email from dartmouth and my heart stopped for a second...but they were just asking if i wanted to remain on the waitlist. this process is definitely raising my blood pressure!!

Say yessss! Sounds like the call my host got from Pritzker:

"Want to remain on the waitlist at Pritzker?"
"Yes, definitely."
"Ok, well you're accepted off the waitlist. Would you come to Pritzker if we now gave you a full tuition scholarship?"
"Wha? Are you really David Owen?"
"Yes, would you come?"
"YEEEEAAAAHHHH!"

now that's how you get off a waitlist, lol
 
its not much calories, but milk + protein induces a high insulin response = fat deposition. i would take peanut butter to balance out if i were to take carb + protein in one meal
 
oh yea JJ, i went put up 295 on the bench yesterday. loll, only one rep though. but it was a solid clean rep top-chest-top and no-spot. i think i can put up 2 or 3 next week (hopefully)
 
interesting point about milk -- I've started drinking organic skim b/c of all the hoopla w/ BGH and insulin...

I tried Silk chocolate milk to get a better-for-me chocolate milk that didn't taste like syrup was in it. It was okay. It didn't taste like it was milk + chocolate syrup, but it definitely wasn't like real chocolate milk.

You just can't duplicate the taste of whole chocolate milk.

I go through food phases. Not really into Greek yogurt anymore, Sammich. 🙁 It'll probably pick back up again over the summer. My current thing is oatmeal a la msb.
 
I would eat more greek yogurt if I didn't have to go to a specialty food store to find it. This area sucks for finding different foods at regular grocery stores.

We also don't get any new flavors of chips, like ever. 😡
It bugs me going to different states and seeing the variety in chip flavors.
