Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Ugh, my roommate has been in the shower for about 30 minutes now. He took an hour long shower this morning that woke me up. I wonder why our energy bills are so damn high...

I need to take a shower!!! 😡

Living with my parents is looking quite nice at this point.

Just get a 2/2 dude

i thought 4 blades was the best, i don't like anything more.

I don't like those for some reason.

I prefer either 3 or 5. 5 gets annoying because you have to change them more frequently, so I'm convinced it's just a Gillette money scheme.

Kind of like when Schick did a study that said guys that shave more get laid more.

lol @ sandra's baby. totally out of the blindside. art imitates life, life imitates art?

i kind of miss driving 🙁 especially when i need to go grocery shopping

My ride (taking it to medical school):

2008 Toyota Tacoma. 2-door, 4-cylinder, automatic. I got about 28,000 miles on it right now. I recently bought a cap for the back, so that it looks more like a SUV now.

yea, ksmi can be our wingwoman, i have a feeling she'd be awesome at it 😀

Why me?

I'm hurt! 🙁 (edit: since sarcasm doesn't come across well on SDN - clearly I'm kidding)

In other news: bed time! And you didn't miss much sammi - brooklyn was talking about basic science research and how he'd liked clinical research instead; dingy ksmi and tatastrophy (well and me too I guess) were talking about dating older women and how it's hot and we are all for it 👍

I actually never said that. I go for the older guys. Though I did date a younger guy once.

Morning y'all!

Just bought a laptop for med school 😀. This thing is a monster!

HP Ultra Dual Core Entertainment Notebook with 17.3" LCD, Blu-Ray & HDMI, 500GB HD, 2.5GHz processor, Windows 7 64 bit, full numpad keyboard

$600 on woot.com today!!!! Only downside is that it /is/ 17.3" and is therefore 8lbs. BUT, the way I see it is, if I'm gonna carry 5 lbs I might as well carry 8 and save some major $$ on capability...

Did you check with your school as to their computer requirements first? Some schools are a bit on the unreasonably picky side. Otherwise, that sounds like a pretty sweet deal.

hooray!!🙂 i think i'm gonna get a new computer in the next couple weeks too. vermont and wake forest are my only two "options" that give you one and i've pretty much ruled those out. it'll be so nice to have a computer of my own again!

yeah at the revisit weekend last week they said they got rid of their laptop prgm and that they "recommend" everyone get a computer, though there are some 2013ers that don't have them. And if we get one have have b/g/n wifi.

got it 🙂

That's a beast!! Good find with that price! It reminds me of my laptop that I used to have (as far as size and weight goes). Its screen wasn't as wide, but it was a thick machine. That's a pretty heavy duty hard drive too!

yeah -- I found one on best buy that was $549 with a 15" screen and 320 GB, no bluray. My bday is in a month, and my parents were going to go halvsies on it w/ me. Talked them into helping me out w/ this one instead. Since it's a bluray w/ a HDMI output, I can have it do double duty 🙂

it's still up there if anyone is still interested -- woot.com -- not sure if they've got a finite number to sell or if it'll last all day.

and I'm w/ ksmi -- totally into the older guys 😉

i'm not getting a new computer for med school. i'm going to wait until mine dies, and then replace it.

and... older guys, younger guys-- don't care. just need a new one.

That was how I felt about buying a comp for med school

I guess I should clarify -- historically, I've dated older guys. however, I'm not opposed to some slight cougaring. If a 23 year old can be a cougar at all.

speaking of relationships, maybe y'all can help me understand something.

Have any of you gone through a "talking" or "dating" stage for months, without it ever crossing over into boyfriend/girlfriend or a relationship? I've been dating this girl for 3 months (she calls it dating/talking), and she swears it is not a relationship. I think the only thing keeping it from calling it a relationship is that we do no PDA and the public/our acquaintances don't know about it yet. I don't know what else I would do different if we were to call it a "relationship". I also don't know how to move forward and make it a relationship b/c all my others in my life have been: go out a few times, hook up a few times, then it is just understood. I have never gone 3 months. I'm so confused. I feel like I have to hold myself back and watch what I do/say every so often b/c i dont want to make her feel like she is in a committed relationship, even though that's what I feel I am in. she claims this "talking" stage is normal where she is from (bronx, ny).

and ideas/comments?
