Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
 I don't like the new amazon thing where they recommend stuff to you. I just like to buy and then be left alone.

Yea I bought a couple of my engineer books from them like 7 years ago... they still recommend more adv calculus and engineering books to me  Those will be super useful in med school eh?

Oh...so the goal is to make this bigger than all the other class threads? Guess I should start making my contributions...

mac's business model is fancy + different. it's the same model as sony computers. i mean, i seriously met a girl who says she loves the Vaios and paid like $500 extra just cause it looks good.

Don't put a seed in her belly. The little crier will come out unsmart.

And congrats to everyone finishing up undergrad this week!

<3 deserts. Course I grew up there so it makes sense.

😆 In general I don't recommend putting a seed in anyone's belly just yet 😀

cacti just aren't pretty plants. i like green plants are tall and leafy.

troof, for the boys. i am fairly certain that med schools won't budget in child support payments to baby momma.

oy! sdn is the place for the most indecisive people in the world asking questions that only they can answer for themself. people want opinions about what to eat for lunch, how much water to drink, what job to take, which volunteer experience is better, ad nauseam. what ever happened to personal decision making and then taking responsibility for said choices. the sky will not fall if you decide to do volunteer experience (a) versus (b). /end rant

100 degrees today.👎
sptting snow here....

finished teaching my CPR class (w/out half my materials....thanks to the cheep gov). There was a "medical emergancy" page as I was walking in so Im glad that I was only at work to teach and not at work to work.

Thinking about heading to the gym now....

Huge congrats to all those wrapping up under grad. I will never forget the feeling of being done....no matter what happens in the future, you have a college degree that no one can take away! 👍👍👍

But how much water should I drink? Don't leave me hangin' RD.

Haha. Depends on your level of physical activity, right? Are you coach potato or do you run 5 miles a day? Also, we should ponder the dis/advantages of electrolyte drinks while we're at it. Does apple juice count? I really like it.

enough to generate 30cc of pee pee an hour.

hmmm, now how to measure it...

30 cc = 1 oz = 2 tablespoons

You do own a tablespoon, right? :meanie:

I don't like the desert that much. It would take an amazing job to make me stay here. Although, we did get more than the normal amount of rain this winter/spring so the desert was in full bloom which is, surprisingly, rather beautiful. The bunnies come and eat my flowers in my front yard and the javelinas run around near the wash by the golfcourse. The coyotes were runnign through the neighborhood the other day, too. I do enjoy the wildlife...just not the scorpions. Luckily I have yet to see any this year.

EDIT: and us Arizonans have to drink like twice the amount of water you all do... 🙁

i kind of feel bad for these people sometimes

i mean, can you imagine if EVERY TIME you had to make a decision, you asked yourself "wait, how does this affect my chances of going to medical school?!" it's no wonder some people are miserable

only sometimes, haha. if i had that thought w/ every action choice, i would be horribly terrified. its easy to become overly focused and lose track of the big picture.

For baking purposes...imagine the look on my roommate's face if it became a dual use tablespoon. "What?? I washed it, didn't I???"

I'll just do as the Mayo Clinic wants me to do.
Oh, and you can always fill the tablespoon with water and pour it into another fluid holding device (a jar, for example). Repeat. Now, mark the fluid level on the jar. And now you have your urine receptacle!

Wait, that 30 cc figure is really low, no?

They're just intimidated by such a cool, hip mom!

Holy crap, it's May 11th! Wow.

Finals should occupy my thinking time for the next two days. Then I'm free to dream. Need to make sure I send a mass text to my friends and family saying not to call me next week, just text me if you want to talk.

You forgot the coyotes.... There were 3 coyotes roaming my friend's neighborhood once.

I can't wait to leave AZ.

Are they aggressive or just a nuisance? I mean, will they eat your pet cat Fluffy? That's a little scary.
