People tend to give away nice wooden bookshelves and computer desks, too. Kitchen tables with chairs pop up sometimes. Seriously, if you start collecting items now (assuming you're already moved to your new location and have access to a truck), you could be fully furnished for almost free by the time school starts.
 
Still not sure what to do about the table thing. I owe my roommate about $320 for all of them. I guess I'll just read over the receipt tomorrow about return/cancellation policies. It would be nice to not spend that $320.

I don't know. Maybe? I found it on a blog that was linked to another blog I usually follow. The linked blog had the figure, and the author claimed it was from some 2002 study. Honestly, it's less credible than reading news articles on science, but it still freaked you out, eh? Did it freak you out enough to not buy new furniture? 😀
 
So I tried my go to Walmart at 8am to miss the people of Walmart thing today, instead of my usual Sunday. In case anyone was wondering the people of walmart are out at full force on Saturdays, I should've stuck with what works.

i agree with the argument for the most part, which is why for that entire period people were talking about how you can't build a team around a guard. but to be fair, getting wins in the west during those years were pretty tough with the spurs suns and mavs being the giants of the league

I know I'm late to this, but I think Duncan has had the best career to this point. Kobe is going to pass him, though.

yea but it's gonna be a real biatch when you have to move. i've been moving way too damn often lately and i'm gonna start preparing for my next move before i even start the current one :laugh:
 
If I am indeed your favorite SDNer, my life is OK. New friends are cool. Work is good. I like it and the people in my lab. Other things aren't so great. But I guess that's expected in life sometimes.

The best part is that you can print powerpoints to one note.. it uploads them all so you can keep everything in one document and either type or handwrite notes on top of it.

I'm seriously in love with it.

How have you been?

They showed that during the game the other day. Didn't say what he said but they were just showing that Kobe was ignoring him.

But in all seriousness - just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder - worth of anything in life is gauged on a self/personal level. In a way, the only way you can know if it's worth it - is to do it. It's a risk yes; but hey if it's not worth it - you can always "sell out" to pharma/corporate :meanie:

Anything worth doing in life seems depressing because I'll bet you it takes a lot of effort. Some more than others. That's why you do it with awesome people because then if it does turn out to be horrible - at least you had good company while you were at it 👍
