Yea I think columbia & cornell start late. Penn starts 8/9 (orientation), and classes on 8/16.

Only one month - July - for vacation :scared: Anyone want to run off to hawaii with me for a couple of weeks?

This is also the other problem that I have. Everything that I can think of which is an escape & a vacation are all things you'd do with a gf/bf (carnival cruise, sandals vacation, hawaii etc). This is in contrast to what I do with my friends right now to relax (parties, Dave and busters, Atlantic city etc.)

Orientation starts the first week of August, and class starts that Thursday. It's coming so fast! :scared: I'm actually just as nervous about meeting a whole bunch of new people as I am of the coursework, although I'm sure that will change quickly. :laugh:

I have orientation aug 3 and start classes aug 9. eek...so soon! hopefully i'll find an apt this weekend so i wont be homeless!

ok. funny kid story time:

my 4yo girl i nanny saw a pregnant lady on tv and was like

"wow! she has a baby in her belly. abbey (her 12yo sister who's the biological child of her parents) did that!! she stayed in mommy's belly when she was a baby"

then a few seconds passes and she goes

"wait, where did i come from?...oh ya, i came from an airplane, not a belly!!"

she's adopted and she came from korea on an airplane when she was 9 months old haha😛

That sounds fun. I wish that was my weekend. Except for signing a lease, I don't want to do another one of those. Who are your roomie(s) going to be?

I don't think I'll try that tactic just yet :d

I'm fairly comfortable with the muscles of the back and arm.. I'm a little iffy on the forearm extensors, but at least the part in the lab is with our dissecting group. And I keep mixing up the hand innervation with the arteries. The shoulder isn't too bad either. But they ask the questions in a clinical way - like "if someone gets stabbed here, and now can't do this, what nerve/muscle/etc got damaged?"

Oh and I don't know crap about embryology.

And the one hour on neuroscience pretty much covered everything I learned in my undergrad career....Where I majored in behavioral neuroscience. And radiology could go either way.

Well the weekend is bec it's my friend's bachelor party. Thus the debauchery. Although... now it'll be 2 weekends in a row of crazy partying and this time it'll be NO sleep at all for a few straight days.

I don't think I can keep doing this for too many more years... so more reason to do it now :laugh:

1 of my roomies is another girl starting @ the med school. 3rd roommate we have a list (wait list 😀 ) for. Law student, business student or a design student (we want someone who's not a med student). I'm leaning towards having 2 girls w/ me. A. because they are clean and easy to talk to and B. because that'd make me pimp.

It's all about being pimp 😎

I've found that as far as girls' living habits are concerned, they are either really clean or really messy. I've always found the messy ones. Most of the guys I know or have lived with are way cleaner than the girls I know.
 
I'm off to bed (well at least after I can put my clothes in the dryer).

Have to wake up early to catch the Argentina-South Korea game at 6am. I should also get to see the entire Greece-Nigeria game before work, not that it matters too much.

Girls can be really, really messy, on a scale that dwarfs general male messiness. They can also be super-neat freaks, but that seems to be fairly rare in my experience.

I lived with girls in undergrad... usually the hotter they are, the messier they are.
