I think there are some good things about it (not having to fool with lots of maintenance). It's not the insane deal some people seem to be duped into thinking they're getting though. I haven't crunched the #'s since I refuse to buy a new car, but I have a suspicion that it's better than taking loans for a new car.

I got a 2009 lancer a couple months ago.. pretty solid. i bought a new desktop the other day off woot. got a webcam and wireless card for it. i bought a north face fleece last week. i dropped a couple bills at banana republic for new (warm) clothes for vermont. bought tickets for universal studios to go to that new harry potter park (for my gf).

hope everyone had an awesome weekend! it sounds like sentinel did for sure!!

found a place to live🙂 (assuming i pass the credit check). it's a nice townhouse with big living spaces. the best part is they split the rent up by size of room and mine's the smallest (but still comfortably fits a full bed, desk, dresser, etc) so the rent is amazing for the area! they're not med students so hopefully it works out, but 2/3 of them are working at dr's offices and applying now to enter med school in 2011. i figure at least that means they'll be understanding of what i'm going through since they want to do it too. they seemed really nice and chill so i think it'll be good.

also, ran the hardest 5k ever on sat morning-who makes a 5k on hiking trails?! it also had mud pits, army obstacles, and about 1/4 mile trecking through waist deep water-so fun, but so challenging!

That's great that you've found a place to live! I'm still looking for a place to live... Actually, I'm just now seriously starting to look. I'm getting a little anxious.

OMG when I am at home, I have to run outside and even at like 8:30 PM its >90 degrees and near 90% humidity....so hard to breathe!

Now I have to go through some long complicated process to get this thing off my record when it never even happened in the first place. I didn't even have credit 3 years ago!

Blows dude🙁 I had someone steal my social and use it for a cell phone that they then never paid for. Now, even despite faxing them the identity theft police report THREE TIMES i still get collections calls for it at least 3x a week. I am so so pissed. It is STILL on my record.

Their big claim is that they haven't gotten the police report, so I need to shoot holes in that.

Luckily my credit is really good and it hasn't done that much damage. I'm old and own a house and stuff....so I can't get too bent out of shape about something this lame.

Well, my parents are going to talk to the insurance and see what the deal is but will pay it worst case scenario. Then it will get taken off my report but the score and stuff will take 3-4 weeks to update back to normal.

I'm still probably SOL for getting a new credit card, though.

i think he's trying to get a credit card. since met is pretty young he probably doesn't have a long established credit. **** like that on your report can keep you from getting one (as well as buying a house/car loans/renting a place/taking out loans for med schools)

Nah, I have no problem getting credit cards....I wish I did....I would not visit Cole Haan nearly as much.....

Edit: My biggest issue is that they call me a bunch and leave messages. And the rare times I AM home, they wake me up with the phone and then I don't catch it in time.
