it's awesome. You'll love it. Whatever you do - do NOT EAT before you jump. A friend of mine had a granola bar (ONE granola bar) - like an hr before jumping. Yea... he puked 😀 Then again, the guy is a pansy (he was the bachelor) - so maybe you'll be fine. I just had like a smoothie and a banana 2 hrs before and I was fine for the jump

I was at atlantic city over the weekend... just couldn't bring myself to gamble. I look at each game and know the probability of winning; and I'm like.. why am I going to give them my money? I ain't that rich 😀 And I don't really get a rush when I win either - it's like.. I didn't work for it so meh.

Although I did start counting cards while my friends were playing... it's actually not that hard. But it's too much freakin work. I'm lazy 😀

that's not bad at all for a 2 bedroom! ya i'm really happy bout the rent, but hopefully it works out living with 3 non-med students. i actually don't know them-they seemed really nice but hopefully they don't turn out to be psycho or anything. 2 of them are working at dr's offices/applyling to med school for 2011 so i figure they'll at least have some idea of what i'm going through. i was going to live with a friend who works in the city, but she's living at home right now and realized she can't afford an apt til at least late fall🙁 oh well, maybe next year.

I'm sure some students live in them, but there are also a lot of interns and politicians/government workers in the area, so I feel it's more for those types of people.

I.......would just watch you guys do that. XD I got an invitation to skydive a few months ago. As much as I love thrills, I don't think I'm to the point where I'd want to skydive. XD

Today was exhausting. Tomorrow hopefully not as much. Then I'm off from Saturday to Wednesday for vacation.


Early sleep for me, I just have to actually get off the couch.

I love six flags. Went on a really down day for them.. rode 18 rollercoasters. In like 7 hours.

My brain was total mush that day and the next. Good times 👍 which 6flags you going to?
 
I need to print a page to mail to LSU but my new computer is NOT responding well to me trying to install my printer. I don't have time to find the disc. +pissed+ I really hate technology.
 
tomorrow's my last day at work. I'm sad 🙁 After 3+ yrs at my company I'm finally leaving. After 5 years in the corporate world... I'll be back to being a "professional student" (i.e. unemployed).

Everything's going to feel so final after tomorrow :scared: And man.. no more paychecks?!

i never use installation discs, i always just download the drivers and software from the company's website, have you tried that?

Yeah, I did. I probably didn't do something right, so I'll try again later when I have more free time and I'm not as tired. I just booted up my old computer (forgot how slow and messed up that thing was :laugh:) and printed from that.

Sweet man. I'm thinking of replacing my car's stock headlight bulbs with some halogen ones. My civic's bulbs are so freakin' dim. 🙁 I don't know what to go with though... I've read a ton of people ticked off at Sylvania because they are designed to burn out after 200hrs. I'm looking at these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MG40QW/

Anyone have experience with this? 😕

Most cars use halogen bulbs these days. Any bulb that is marketed as being brighter is burning hotter, meaning it won't last as long.

If you really want brighter headlights, I'd look into HIDs. You'll need the bulbs and ballasts, since they are arc lamps. Technically you should use projector headlights to focus them, but I used them stock headlights and they work fine (although they are not fun to stare at for oncoming traffic). I bought a $30 kit from here and they worked well. They'll be much brighter than any halogen bulb and probably cheaper, and will last longer (assuming no electrical problems).

I would look into your state laws before installing HID's on a stock headlight fixture because technically it is illegal. However, driving a honda civic means that you will easily find a projector kit and then I would recommend getting HIDs for that. That way you only look slightly like a ricer rather than a full-on ricer 😛. Make sure you get the white HIDs too, there's a bunch've dbags who get the super dark blue ones.

P.S. if you do the install on HIDs there are two screws usually next to the lightbulb that you have to mess with to aim the light or else you'll be blinding everyone on the road. I suggest parking your car in front of a wall or your closed garage door and doing the aiming to make sure the line your HIDs will make is straight.

I don't know how interested you are bender, but here's a nice chart talking about the different colors:

I'd recommend the 5k. Anything higher than 6k will look blue. I think I had 5400 and they were pretty much pure white. Also, it's sort of counter intuitive but higher = less light as well. So the 5k are the whitest and the brightest. More blue = more reflection when it rains, as well (hence the reason why fog lights are usually yellow to cut through moisture).

Dear god this looks complicated to setup. I'm so bad with cars. 😳 Those look really sweet though! I'm not even in it for style points or anything, I just hate that I can't see with my current headlights :laugh: Thanks a bunch guys, I'll look into the law! 👍
 
If you do end up going that direction, they are pretty easy to set up. The ballasts plug into your existing electrical connections, and the headlights go where they always do.

i got paid for last month even though i literally did nothing but go to a 2 day conference.... that i made $200 off (after per diem + reimbursements)
