ugh. I'm not a big fan of the movies. Although this one shows promise. Loved the books tough.

Btw, is it just me or does hermione (well emma watson) get hotter everytime? Hmm maybe because she gets more legal everytime? :meanie:

Yeah, the issue is really figuring out the set/exercise load. I've recently begun thinking that 8 reps is a bad # for me. I think 6-7 is a lot better. I also want to have a good mix between barbell and dumbbell and cable.

I'm thinking something like:

Day 1:

Chest:
Barbell Bench 2 x 6
Dumbbell Incline 2 x 6
Flat Dumbbell Fly 2 x 6
Barbell Decline Press 2 x 6

Back:
Dumbbell 1-arm-row 2 x 6
Cable Pulldowns 2 x 6
Cable Rows 2 x 6
Weighted Pullups 2 x 6

Day 2:

Shoulders:
Dumbbell Military Press 2 x 6
Dumbbell Front Raise 2 x 6
Barbell Overhead Press 2 x 6
Barbell Shrug 2 x 6

Biceps:
Reverse Grip Barbell Curl 2 x 6
Barbell Preacher Curl 2 x 6
Dumbbell Preacher Curl (leaned over, big ROM) 2 x 6
Dumbbell Standing Curl 2 x 6

Day 3:

Legs:
Squat 2 x 6
Deadlift 2 x 6
Calf Raise 2 x 6
Leg Curl 2 x 6

Triceps:
Narrow Grip Bench Press 2 x 6

when i did 3 day splits (i dont anymore)

i would do chest/back, legs/shoulder, bi's and tri's

i think your work out looks good. maybe add dips instead of decline once in a while. i'm guessing 6 is for strength gain or not aggravating injury

I think it's actually a good idea. What annoyed me w/ the old movies was everything felt so rushed. Then again; that's understandable considering the amount of information / nuances in each book. I really think by splitting it they can do justice to all the little things in the last book - and there really are a lot of little things. Thinking about how things ended STILL hurts my head.

This is pretty inevitable in all book --> movie translations. I just see it as a pretty obvious ploy to milk as much money as possible out of the franchise.

On the other hand, this does mean more Harry Potter in general so I guess I shouldn't be complaining.

So I had a spiral fracture of my right (non-dominant) humerus about 20 months ago. I had surgery on it about a year and a half ago.

Before my injury I was benching ~335 for reps and now I've finally gotten up to ~275 for reps, but I feel like any lift where I do ~8 reps, even with substantially lighter weight is just exponentially harder because the last few reps feel really weird on my right arm. Not exactly painful, but just... weird, and I end up compensating for it which makes the rep useless. I mean, it's easier for me to do like 255x6 than 225x8.

Strangely, the biggest changes in how much I can lift are on bench presses of any type. Dumbbell military press I've been doing 80x6 which is only 5 lb less than my previous maxes for that rep, again, 8 reps is much harder than 6, I can only do like 70x8. I'm pretty much barbell curling the same as I was before and lifting close to the same with dumbbell, maybe 10-15 lb less, primarily because my left arm has gotten stronger because I've using it more in the past two years b/c of the injury.

i know exactly how you feel. i pretty much lost the left side of my upper body and when i bench, the left always trails. its kinda emotionally draining to be not at your best and its been 2 years for me and it just feels like I won't be back to normal ever.

I've always liked doing 15-12-10-8, but I noticed that it just starts hurting again and I'm uncomfortable for days. I think you are right, low reps are better

yea man, its crazy. i have to think about when to get up to catch the market open up. like is it 8 o clock, or is it 10 o clock. do baseball games start at 6 o clock or at 8 o clock. if lebron goes to the clippers, we are all gonna be screwed cuz they would revolve everything around him

How did you do that? Nerve damage? I had radial nerve damage during my injury which sucked a lot too haha, it's back to normal now though 🙂 I think it'll be another year or so before strength is back up to 100%. One thing I did that helps is to make sure I lift the same amount with both arms on any dumbbell exercise, and I exclusively used dumbbells for awhile.
 
babies (or even just couples finally getting together instead of there just being never-ending tension) tend to ruin shows

Check out the figure that leads the June 27 post. There was something similar at phdcomics.com a few months ago. With the exception of scholarship recipients and mudphuds, we're boned. Thoroughly and completely. Anyone want to brainstorm income generating ideas to help avoid the incoming $200k (without interest) debt bullet? If only I could sell a "sarcasm on demand" type service.
