I procrastinate a lot, so I usually don't get any rest before taking a test either. But I did take it kinda easy before taking the MCAT, I kinda looked everything once again and just looked up a few writing samples to see what they're like.

I've decided to apply for a job teaching for Kaplan. While I don't like the concept of Kaplan courses, I feel like they are actually legitimate in terms of ensuring good teaching quality, customer satisfaction, etc. Also considering holding a research job and a job working for a research lab (the second probably won't net any pubs/research credit) this summer.

I think so! Here's what I posted on the 5/1 MCAT thread.

PS - Some random topics. I didn't like it. The questions weren't too bad, though. I ESPECIALLY didn't like the fact that every computer in the room froze for about 20 minutes. Thankfully, we didn't lose any time or our answers, but still. Jesus H. Macy...

VR - Not too bad. I hate literary criticism passages, and there was one of them, but I thought the rest of the passages weren't bad at all.

WS - I thought that first prompt was a freaking joke. I just wanted to write, "I think this statement is absolutely correct. There is nothing to refute." Second one was okay.

BS - I'll say it... I thought it was pretty freaking easy. Not a lot of O-chem, but I DID see stuff that I had recently reviewed that I probably would have gotten wrong otherwise.

Prediction: 12/11/13 Q Maybe a little better. We'll see.

Hubs got the car to start and we saw Kick-Ass which, despite some glaring differences from the comic, DID kick ass. Then we got ice cream at Coldstone. Mmmmmm.

hi!!! sorry i've been MIA...finals+drama llamas+meeting people has been taking up all my sdn time.

i did 1 pt better than last time on mcat...whatever, i'm over it. i've actually been thinking a lot about a year off lately. meehhhhhh

anyway you prob wont see me til after may 6ish! had some awesome blueberry margs tonight, need to go get some sleep before i hit the books again.

I don't like it, but since at least dingy and bleargh are calling me it, I might as well get used to it, especially since I think they're doing it because I don't like it.

a year off wouldn't be the worst thing really. i mean, for one, it'll make the interview season a lot better since you don't have classes and tests at the same time. are you a rising senior?

Not busy anymore! I'm sooo bored! I have to meet with my mentor next week to finalize my thesis before getting it bound. Meeting with a LOR writer. That's pretty much it. Waiting for my MCAT scores to come out the next week, which I have jury duty! I'm hoping I did well enough (to me) that I don't have to retake, which would mean I could go to Parris Island in June and watch my bf graduate from marine boot camp 😀

sounds like some great plans 😀 hope you won't get selected for jury duty. luckily, i'm not a citizen yet, so i'm in no danger of being caught up. but idk, maybe getting selected will help your boredom? i'm not that often bored, 'cause i'm easily amused. but that could be a problem too, because then i might not go do stuff that are rewarding in the end but requires some effort. on the flip side, i can be happy with just about anything. so...meet with the LOR writer asap, some of them take forever to write it.

Go for it. If he's emotionally resolved, then a month is plenty (like msb said). Lots of people take more than a month tho. I have a gal friend who is in a relationship with a guy who is STILL not completely over his ex (doesn't still like her, but is still fixing himself) and it causes so much frustration for her, so I'd recommend avoiding that.


Went to QSU/gay prom last night (I'm straight btw). Was super fun. Tons of attractive straight gals. 👍 The funny part was being hit on by lots of gay guys. I don't know why some people are like "they're fine as long as they don't hit on me." Well gosh, it sure is flattering, I must say. :laugh:

IMO I wouldn't bring it up with him. As a guy it would kill my interest if a girl wanted to talk about something really serious like past relationships etc.. before we ever went out even one time. I wouldn't bring it up unless you absolutely have to, even then don't do it 😛

i really like the sound of 2015 better than 2016, i hope the scores are good...30 more days...
