edit: re: segragation, TONS of cities, i'd actually say most i've been to, are segragated in some form or another, sometimes by choice, other times not.

Yeah I wish I had taken some time to relax. I work 20 hours a week at the hospital, 20 hours a week in a research lab and go to school taking a full load. I had no time to study for the MCAT during the school year, so I took it over last summer (I was still working full time). I studied for 2 months and then took that beotch... only did 4 practice tests and only one was after I completed the content review. By the time I actually took the test I was burned out... then I got to start classes again. I think I still haven't fully de-stressed haha.

Stupid aamc didn't offer any test dates in oct, nov, or dec (I was forced to take mid-sept)... If I had another month to study I would have added several points to my score. It worked out though I got a 30+ that is balanced.

Yeah, I know....and it is my sadness🙁 I pretty much exclusively date outside my race and the older I get (and probably the less hotter...) the more problems I recognize when it comes to this issue. Where I live now is not diverse, though I don't feel at all uncomfortable. However there is not a lot of interracial dating. The places I have lived that were diverse (like DC) were even worse though.

No, I'm a Black/German/Cherokee/Irish chick that likes Jews🙂 Actually, I like anyone tall, dark, and dorky.

And its not as hard BEING in an interracial relationship if you move to another place (done that before) it is much harder to find a NEW one in a place that is a stuffy.

Bleargh......I'm old🙂 And relationships to me are very important, not just romantic. I've been in a miserable grad school situation and now I realize the elements that made it miserable. A lot of people can live anywhere. I know that I can't. I am very sensitive to the overall values of the people around me, and it effects my experience. So I DO worry about it...but that is an ok thing, because it is the right thing for me.

So.....relax🙂

Agreed, oceanside is very diverse.

The OC? really? It may be pretty wealthy and conservative, but you can drive 30 minutes and be out of there... not that bad.

Actually, I think one of my major problems is they grow 'em short here. I keep asking my friends if they know any full-sized men. I'm REALLY tall.

But also, the beauty ideal here is 5', blonde, fake boobs, and low ambition. I fall into none of those categories. Even driving 20 minutes north or south changes things dramatically. I do fine in Huntington Beach and SD. Not so much where I live.

I wouldn't know first hand, but south central and oakland wouldn't be too great... however their music is awesome 👍
