You packet people are lucky... I had to kiss major butt and run around for a couple months to get 5 individual letters 😡

Most schools have different requirements for packet vs. individual letters... so I'm not familiar with the packet requirements... however 2 schools I applied to (iowa & vermont) put a maximum at 4 letters... you should double check the philly schools and make sure if you send the extra letter you don't piss them off 😛.

Seriously, I wanna be a packet person!

I added three more schools to my list today. And DIDN'T add another because they require a letter from my grad school. Since I graduated 6 years ago and haven't spoken to anyone there since, that is probably not going to happen. So sad to have to weed out a school because of that lameness.

I have to say, you guys are seriously motivating me. I had mapped out a plan a long time ago to submit early, pre-write secondaries, and the last two weeks with summer school and work kicking my butt a little, I started to get discouraged.

But this thread has helped me stay on track and even led me to expand my school list by 5 schools.

The next big hill won't be for a few weeks....enjoy the stomach flipping drop🙂

dude i know. All us cali kids not only get arguably some of the worst pre med advising (from all UC schools), but we also have to kiss ass and get individual letters since packets dont exist for us 🙁.

probably 7-8 upper tier schools, 14 middleish tier and the rest on the lower end

to this day, i don't think anyone understands quite what he was talking about though lol he was so lost...i kinda felt bad

minimum wage brother kaplan pay is not fantastic, but the teaching is pretty fun if you're into that.
