My friday night consisted of watching Harry Potter, playing world of Warcraft and falling asleep to south park.

Also, Daisy, they have this cool deal at target where you can order thanksgiving dinner. They pretty much prepackage everything, preglaze the turkey, and have tons of sides, gravy, rolls, etc with it. My husband ordered one this year for 60 bucks. You pick it up the day before thanksgiving and then just pop everything in the oven. The one he ordered serves up to 8, but they have smaller and larger ones. Just a thought 🙂

That sounds spectacularly easy, but it just wouldn't be the same 🙁 I'm the kind of person that feels bad whenever I make cake from a mix, plus I do enjoy cooking. I think I'll send my mom and relatives to the zoo so they stay out of my hair :meanie:

Oh. LOL. Yeah I had that. Was good. My girlfriend was making gross faces like it was hard alcohol or something. I thought it tasted down like watered down vodka.

I never thought I'd be the kind of person who dresses their dog up in coats, but my dog shivers if it's under 60 degrees outside so I think I have to buy him one. He's such a diva.
 
I had the ultimate low-key night last night too. Thursday night I saw HP7 at midnight. I finally got to bed at 4am and of course had to get up at 7:30 for work... so last night I went to bed at 8 and slept until 8 this morning. Winner.

Whenever I see HP, I always think at first that you went to watch a new printer :shrug:.

Oh, and sleeping for more than 10 hrs= full of win.

congrats!

my saturday has been pretty good so far. went downtown and had lunch, then got my photographer face on and took a couple shots, played some chess with the regulars in the park, now i've got some chili cooking in the pot. gems.

Thanks. This comes the day after I got a rejection from GW. The past 3 weeks have been a dream.

I have nothing to do until July. I guess I should get in shape, learn to cook, and practice a foreign language. I'm thinking of blowing the rest of my "application/interview savings" on a road trip in the spring.

the M1/2 curriculum almost perfectly matches my learning style (pass/fail with optional lectures). too bad anatomy lab is dissection instead of prosection. no electives third year is another (small con) though so I'm gonna have to set up all my important aways early fourth year before submitting my eras.

the reason, though, this place is my first choice is that the faculty is great. i got the impression, especially from my interviewer, that the people here are willing to fight for their students.
 
I can FINALLY say that I've been accepted in a medical scool!!! Look forward to joining the Class of 2015!😀 Now, its on to:
1) How do I pay for this
2) Where will I live
BUT, first I have to plan my European excursion. Any ideas?
 
Hey guys! This is my first post in this thread! I'm now an official member of the class of 2015! Got my first acceptance today to UIC and I'm very proud to finally have the opportunity to post here! 🙂
 
I'm have Cliff-Daisy syndrome: Bored out of my mind. Of course, there's work I should be doing. Too bad I barely care right now. 🙄

Anyways, I love how once Halloween is over people start putting up Xmas decorations. This one home in my neighborhood already put out their lawn/house decorations and fully decorated Xmas tree. It's like Thanksgiving is a younger brother who is always overshadowed by his more fun, exciting, and lovable older brother, Christmas who always brings home gifts for the family.

Pff, amateurs. I still have gel santas and hannukah menorahs in the window from LAST YEAR. If you leave them up long enough, you don't have to decorate next time! :laugh:

Haha. Amateurs indeed. They spent the entire day getting their house Xmas-ified. The longest we've had Xmas stuff up was until late February and I thought we were late. :laugh:

Our lights were down in Jan, but we forgot to take the window clings off. Living in Florida, we noticed when the santa turned melty on the side of the house facing the sun. It looked like something from a Freddy Kreuger flick on our bedroom window. We took that one down before it scared the neighborhood children. The other stuff is on the back room windows...and we never use the back rooms. 🙄

On my way to Philly! Delta has free wifi on all flights through the holidays, so I can keep up with SDN all throughout my flight thank god 🙂
 
Question: Does everyone check their statuses to the schools that they've applied to regularly? I've been just waiting for emails sending an interview invite, haven't really been looking on schools websites. Should I be 😕.

Grats on all the acceptances, super stoked for you all. And I'm pretty sure most of those people who didn't post here before getting accepted didn't want to jinx anything. Those thoughts ran through my mind before posting my first time too 😀.

I hadn't checked any statuses since I got the complete emails from schools months ago, and then yesterday I had the thought to check all of the ones I still hadn't heard from. No changes whatsoever. Dunno if that will be true for you too, but it was a thorough waste of 5 minutes for me.

Also, to anyone who went to my alma mater (aka Daisy) or cheers for us in football... that. was. pathetic.

I used to feel that way since sometimes I get superstitious, but then one day after I started getting complete at places I was like F it - have some confidence and its up to me what happens.

Maybe because of the thread name people assume its just for people who got accepted into Class of 2015, but we've made it into a general applicant thread and time wasting pit.

A few schools post important things first on the status check (for the schools I applied to they were Drexel, Temple, Upstate, Wake Forest, MSSM, and Buffalo), before sending out emails. But for most schools it makes no difference.
