I know : ((( Being financially free earlier will be so much nicer in the end. But I was planning on doing IBR + PSLF, so I wouldve been debt free in 10 years anyways. Argh. Everyone on SDN always says to take the money when the difference is so large, but it seems like no one knows about this!
http://www.studentaid.ed.gov/PORTALSWebApp/students/english/PSF.jsp Is there some sort of catch that I'm not seeing, or do people really just not know about it? Pay 10 years of payments on an income-based repayment plan while working for a non-profit (most hospitals are non-profit) and your loans get forgiven? Seems like no one should care about med school debt anymore, yet everyone seems to be in a panic about it. The fact that they are panicking makes me think there is some sort of catch that I am unaware of, and that maybe I should panic too.
Speaking of which, does anyone remember that awesome old computer game, Lemmings?
And yeah. Sorry to be so off-topic. I'm not paying for cable either since I watch everything for free on the internet anyways. Screw comcast!
