It has already become a thing. I was just talking to someone about Paula Abdul on Live to Dance, and how she is annoying me. I said that she keeps saying these things that she thinks sound deep, like "When you lead with passion, anything is possible". And how that statement and how she phrased it made me want to stab myself in the eye with a penis.

As to the convo about dating and engineering, you should have been a biomedical engineering major. At my school anyway, we had pretty close to 50/50 girls and guys, or at least closer than any other engineering major. Plus one of my female TAs was in Maxim magazine apparently (or so all my guy friends repeatedly told me). Point being, plenty of BME hotties!

Heh. Oh well, it's too late now. It's okay. Electrical engineering was more aligned with my interests, anyway. Still do have a basic love for it... guess this means I'm destined for the EP lab?

I just ate a piece of dark chocolate called "Endangered Species Chocolate." I'm assuming some of the proceeds go to save endangered animals, but still, I can't help but wondering if I'm eating a morsel of endangered panda or something. 😏

That looks excellent. The Sierra Nevada is a nice touch. (Sidenote, my friends and I had a pale ale taste-test last week, and Sierra was a tie for first. 👍 Magic Hat was the clear loser.)
 
sierra nevada pale ale is a good go-to beer. the sierra nevada celebration ale is hops on steroids, so if you love hops its a gem.

Have you guys tried Sierra Nevada Torpedo (extra IPA) or Dogfish Head 90-minute (extra IPA)? I haven't had a bunch of different IPA's, but the Dogfish Head 90-minute was amazing. I learned to like beer but also found I generally like hops thanks to Torpedo (and like 14% abv IIRC). Since I'm right across the sierras from SNB, they're one of the bigger represented breweries. Bought a Costco 24 pack yesterday of the Pale Ale 🙂

I haven't had Torpedo, but I have had Dogfish Head 90 minute. Delish! I was introduced to IPAs pretty recently, but I'm a big fan. And that's so sweet that you live close to SNB (which I'm assuming means the Sierra Nevada Brewery).

i used to like 90 minute, but its too malty now. the more into IPA's you get the more you'll notice malt vs. hops. the 120 minute however, is bomb. and like 12 dollars per 12 oz beer haha.

My chemE group is working with SNB to develop a new chocolate stout for them. We got a tour of the brewery (FRESH HOPS SMELL AMAZING!!) and also free, delicious lunch (AND BEER!) at the pub 🙂

Yeah I notice the two. 120 is supposed to be even sweeter, but I haven't tried it yet. I'd do $12 for one... that's like $4 for a normal beer in terms of alcohol content 😎

WTH? Really?! Magic Hat #9 is pretty damn good, IMO.

I gotta find my Sierra Nevada drinking glasses one of these days. One of the bars I used to frequent in undergrad had a night each week where a good beer (ie. not Budweiser, Miller, etc) was sold for really cheap and you got the corresponding glass with the logo on it; Sierra Nevada was a favorite of theirs (and mine). 😀

Yep, sorry Kaushik. To be fair, it calls itself a "not quite pale ale", so maybe the fact that we were comparing it with "real" pale ales made a difference. And that sounds cool about the beer glasses.
