Penn is supposedly pretty generous, lady. Moreso than any other MD school in the city, from what I hear (followed by Temple, I'd say, then Jeff and Drexel, who are reputably stingy).

I distinctly remember getting that sensation at my Jeff interview, so that does not surprise me. Also the students I know there confirmed that. Alas.

I thought Philly was the coolest city I interviewed in. I didn't get the feeling that they were super generous with fin aid tho (hopefully my perception was wrong). A good number of full scholarships, but at that level, I sure wouldn't expect to get one.

Jeff and Drexel don't really give anything but need-based aide. I know Temple gives out some merit scholarships but I think Penn, having more funding, tends to be the most generous of them all.

Lol I generally avoid bugging celebrities if I can. I haven't bothered a celebrity in their personal time since I was 8 😀. I saw John Goodman in a doctors office, went up to him and here was what happened:

8 year old rafflecopter: "Excuse me mister, but are you him?"

John Goodman (after hysterical laughter): "Yeah, kiddo. I'm him."

8 year old rafflecopter: "OoooOOOoo! Can I get your autographthingy?"

John Goodman: "Sure."

He gives me his autograph on a napkin my mom had in her purse. She proceeded throw away said napkin on accident like 2 hours later. Me=crushed.

On another note, you guys are starting to freak me out with all this financial aid talk. When should I have my FAFSA filled by? Why does everyone keep saying you need to put parental information - aren't most of you "independent" students?

2. Re fin aid: even though we're "independent," most of my schools have said I need to put parental info down unless all I'm looking for is loans. Frankly, it's unlikely to matter either way for me, but I'll fill out the forms with my parental info anyway. Granted, I'm also coming straight out of undergrad. Some schools are more understanding if you're farther out from school and a little older. Oh, and the deadlines aren't for a little while but you can start filling the FAFSA out now if you have the tax info. It's up. 🙂

OMG you are SO cute.

I am going to fill out my FAFSA as soon as I get my freakin' W2, which hasn't shown up yet.

And yes, while FAFSA considers many of us here independent students, medical schools don't give half a crap. You have to submit your parent's financial info for need based aide even if you're entering medical school in your late 30s and your parents are retired. It sucks a fat one. 🙁 🙁 🙁

I'm gonna file my FAFSA later this month, because I don't have my W2 yet and neither do my parents. I think that's pretty typical for most people.

It really depends on what offer they have and if Apple is going to be a significant change in their annual summer release. If its a small change like iPhone 3 to 3S, then its not a big deal and they'll offer a rebate. Obviously, its a bad consumer decision if its as drastic as 3 to 4.

I've always been a BlackBerry fanboy but RIM isn't making a new touch screen for Verizon, so I was contemplating the Droid phones, but I'm not that much of a tech geek where it matters, and Apple would just fit in seamlessly with everything else I do.

In all the flights I have taken in my life this has never, ever happened to me.
