Class of 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
So I'm currently in Boston and the snow has been shoveled/plowed up to half my height, and in some places, past my height of 1.70 meters....it's quite scary having to trek thru some of those areas haha...because the my feet and **** get all wet. Otherwise they're doing an amazing job of keeping most of the streets/sidewalks clear so people can go on with their business. Quite frankly, I don't know why schools and stuff were closed/cancelled...totally unnecessary with the way they cleaned up after 30 cm of snow!

I should open up a ramen noodle bar for students... $2 to eat, $1 coffee and fountain drinks. No free refills, but free wifi.

Jesus, this is the worst bottle of pinot I've ever had. It tastes like musty socks and lemons. Worst $12 ever. And guess what? I'm still drinking it. Why? Because its not white wine.

Ew, no good.

I just had the best mojitos ever. I might be addicted to that place.

A Snapshot of a Cougs Day at Work

Boss: So Cougs, how is it going?

Me: Great. I am on the last document of that (completely unexpected and profusely apologized for) 65 document rush that we had that you told me was due at the end of the month. Really happy.

Boss: Well, it is only the beginning of the hard work.

Me: :scared: What?? I thought that this rush was an anomaly and that it would never happen again??

Boss: Uh....I meant....you are going to med school. More hard work.

Me: Oh 😳

Earlier today I thought about making a thread of all the times someone's posted that med school is difficult as if the rest of the thread didn't know... too much effort.

Thinking about sending an update letter to my schools. I've done lots of leadershippy extracurricular stuff over the new school year. I don't want them to wonder why I didn't update them on grades or research though, haha. (grades not reflective of my capabilities or performance, research hasn't seen positive publishable results, working on something new)

Are you waiting on a lot of schools?

Holy SDN....my date with Jack D last night just made me visit the bathroom...and I'm totally at work this morning.

Sorry Ursa. Hopefully your boss understands that this 24-hour stomach flu is just going around 😉

In other unrelated news, operation dinner party was a success last night! And now I have lots of leftovers!

Awesome! What was on the menu?

I made this eggplant and lentil vegetarian stew (my friend is a vegetarian, so it was a bit of a challenge to think of a main course I could make), side of brown rice, sauteed spinach with sesame seeds, and brownies for dessert. With copious amounts of merlot to wash it all down 🙂

Haha yeah my supervisor is a middle aged X-ray tech who is the bomb. She doesn't care if I come in still drunk (ok, maybe not drunk, but you know what I mean).
