Class of 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The paintball sequel? I KNOW!!

Yep. It was pretty sweet. Part II should be fun too.

Motivated me to finally finish the Man With No Name trilogy. Watching the DVD of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly that I bought when Circuit City was going out of business (yeaaahh $4 classics). A year or two ago MGM's channel on Youtube was showing them all, so I watched Fistful of Money and For a Few Dollars More back then.

We saw Thor. I didn't like it as much as Iron Man but I still very much recommend it. And as always with a Marvel Studios movie, stay til the end of the credits.

this girl i'm facebook friends with graduated college today and she couldnt even spell congratulations :smack:

I have to think really hard every time I spell it. This one and beautiful. I always have to sound it out in my head (be-a-utiful). Cut her some slack, not everyone was a world class spelling bee champ like you, hux.

But hey, I think people should chill about spelling and grammar on here in general. I mean, yeah, sometimes it's hard to take a dude seriously when they say something completely idiotic and they're writing like they're in sixth grade, but damn, the way some of these guys get up in a huff about "your" vs "you're" is just ridiculous. Every time someone ignores all of the content of a post just to call someone out for terrible grammar (most of the time it's just one or two minor things) I'm just amazed by this anomalous and ludicrous form of arrogance.

I appreciate the language, I think it's beautiful and in any medium deserves the respect of proper use, but this is the internet, most people aren't that meticulous and it might not say anything about their intelligence or the validity of their arguments.

This is about the only grammar mistake I ever point out and I do so only under one condition--when a post says "your an idiot." It's hard for me to let such an irony pass, but the real reason I point it out is NOT to encourage proper grammar, it's to discourage the name calling.

I don't care at all about proper grammar on the forum, and pointing out an error just for the sake of pointing it out is annoying. The pointless insults, clearly made in bad taste and not light heartedly, piss me off a lot more than anything else. IMO, if you take it upon yourself to deride another person's intelligence, but don't take it upon yourself to proofread your insulting post, any grammar-nazi backlash is just your comeuppance.

I've seen your attacks on unsuspecting trolls and flamers and can't say I disapprove 🙂

Yay, happy Mother's Day guys🙂

Also....some cinnamon roll awesomeness for you: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/06/cinammon_rolls_/

I will be cleaning my house all day in preparation for getting rid of all of my bookshelves. I'm donating most of the books (packing the others into boxes) and I'm having book separation anxiety.

Somebody hold me.

Attachment to books is probably my biggest material weakness.

Happy Mother's Day to the moms of the thread! :biglove:

Same. I don't have a huge library, but I'm loathe to part with any of my books.

I see people spell it "congradulations" ALLLLLLLL the damn time. Gah!
that's how she spelled it.

Pony is such a classic.
I heard Fast Five was really good, though kinda long....I'll probably watch it soon to find out
I really want to see Fast Five, I heard it's hilarious.
I feel like this video (click below) sums up how I'm doing.

Wat.

1. Happy Mother's Day you hot mamas!
2. Speaking of misspelling, the Pioneer Woman's spelling of "cinnamon" in the link makes me respect her less.
3. I hate stuff (but Cougs already knew that about me). Despite that, I lent my copies of The Little Prince and Catch-22 to people and they never gave them back, and that makes me super irritated.

ahhhhh it feels good to be back. Anybody got sparknotes on the past 3 days? I spent the better part of this morning wearing a dress after losing a heated game of prisoner (Daisy will prob appreciate this most). And I have a neck tattoo of a monster truck.

Btw, happy mother's day of course because I know this thread is mom-tastic.

And it suuuuuuuure is nice to see people using the fb group! 😀

Very nice Dbeast, I'm glad you had a good time 🙂
I had a really nice Mother's Day. We all went out to breakfast, then I got this (http://shopboppy.com/shop/index.php..._id=15&zenid=032ef68d0fd12b1ae39b171550a2809e) and the chance to nap and try it out. It rocks.
Wow, www.shopboppy.com =/= www.shopbop.com

That pillow does look super comfy though 👍

between facebook and gchat this thread will be buried in no time.

Hey everyone 🙂 hope all them mom's had a good day yesterday. My day was great until I had a fever spike to over 103. Now I'm on the wrong side of a hospital bed and my phone's battery is almost toast. I think hospitals need cell chargers 😉

Oh no!! 🙁 Feel better ASAP!!

Which class?

Biochem 2 (required for biochem majors). Boring material + hard class + extreme apathy/laziness for last semester = oops.

I needed to get a 42 on the final to pass without a curve. I'm pretty sure I did that. But I'm still worried.

You're a rockstar, Weezy. Chill. Test passed. Semester done. Diploma got.

Shoot speaking of not doing bad in a class. Better start studying for virology. Been doing not-so-well for the exact reasons as NickNaylor (except it isnt hard, just a ton to memorize), but I basically am a week away from the final and have yet to study for more than an hour combined on all 3 past tests 😱

when I hear stories like this, it makes me glad I took 4 classes over the summer so I could graduate back in December.

Good luck guys!

I almost didn't graduate. Long story, unrelated to apathy or lack of ability. It's resolved now, but I have an extra 80-hour project/3-credit course to do this week. Oops. Maybe I shouldn't put that up on SDN, given I'm not entirely anonymous. Oh well.

Also, one of my schools still hasn't finished my fin aid.. We originally submitted the printouts from our online tax submission and signed/dated/printed them on the top... the school wrote me back 2 weeks later and said we had to sign on the IRS' "sign here" portion, which is dumb. I think they just didn't bother even looking at it until after we had mailed them our tax forms AGAIN. I signed it in like 4 places because I'm a douchebag (and didn't want any more "lol you didn't sign it even tho you did" emails)

Also, I can't figure out why my avatar won't auto-repeat =(
