To all: Thanks guys, feels great! Turns out it was a good call to stick out the lab job even though I hated it. Won an award with 1% effort and can now throw that on my residency app and cvs from now on. Super stoked 👍

Also, I saw a damnyouautocorrect with longshanks name in at the top talking about interviews. Coincidence, or was that you? 😛

edit: Found it. Nope, not me, but that's funny. It'd be weird too if someone had me as Longshanks in their phone... the only people I think who may do that (but doubt they have my number anymore) are the people that started this nickname freshman year.

I've only read the first 30, but every single one of those has applied to me. I'm only 23...it seems like knowing most of them isn't unreasonable..! Right? someone reassure me about this.

i love hyperbole and a half.

The three dog stories make me laugh so hard, seriously. Especially the first 2 (the one about the simple dog's IQ test and the one about moving to a new state with both dogs)

edit: I guess they are on the right hand menu as "dog" and "dogs don't understand basic concepts like moving"

my sister's new puppy has the most hilarious problems going down stairs and it reminds me of the "dog" story. haha
She tries to turn diagonally, so that she can fit her body on just two stairs with more room. But then she hops down to the next one with all 4 feet at a time, like a mountain goat or something. Then she slides on the slippery stair-carpet and half hops, half careens down the remaining stairs and almost crashes into the wall opposite the bottom of the staircase. So funny. We are going to videotape it soon.

I know everything. Me = old. I need a smiley with a walker. My students were playing "Quit Playing Games with My Heart" last period. It was released in 1997. They were 2-3 years old at the time. 😱

Let's see, 1997, I was in 8th grade. I dated 5 people that year. In fact, it was the year I accidentally broke up with one guy next to this huge xmas tree in our school cafeteria. I thought I was being nice because I took him away from his friends; totally didn't realize there was a tree there. I'm sure my exs were glued to that song.

Junior year of HS. Mad unrequited crush on a graduating senior. Surely it was around that time that I started learning harsh lessons in having my dreams crushed. :laugh:
 
1997, that would have been 6th grade. I don't even remember what happened that year except discovering my middle school crush 😳
 
1997, that was sophmore year of HS, I had a blond mohawk and a leather jacket. I ditched school so much I was given Saturday school for half the year... but I'm still gonna be a doctor. :laugh:

Edit: also, some dirty girl gave me mono that year.
 
God, that count down list did make me feel old 🙁 So does hanging out with my 16y/o cousin, listening to the 90s music station (and singing all of the lyrics), and realizing that she doesn't know most of those songs 🙁
