Hmmm that would be interesting for a change. Maybe when I apply, I could offer my experiences as an URM (I don't think there are too many around here, considering all the flak they get)

$2 bills are pretty much used primarily for strip clubs now. People need to throw down money on a pretty steady basis and having the increments doubled from the normal dollar bill makes the entertainers mucho money. Or so I've heard...

Right? When does everyone start? Orientation starts August 1st for me.

Foxtrot Mike Lima. I move in 3 days, begin orientation 15 Aug through 18 Aug (White Coat Ceremony and ****s), and START school on 22 Aug. Kinda scurrred.. :scared:
 
Yeah I start on the 1st too and my school hasn't told us what the required textbooks are for our first year courses yet. Is that normal 😕


Also, I'm moving only a few days before school because I need to stay at work to save up the money. So I dont wanna hear any whining.

yeah, we were told NOT to buy books until orientation. That was literally the only thing said about books in our welcome packet.

I quit next Friiiiiiiday! And I think I'm going to finish up my actual work no later than the end of the week so I'll probably wind up doing some mindless busy-work like filing next week. Blech!

And I already moved... though I am PLANNING on making the baby's room something other than a giant closet during the weeks between I quit and school starts. :xf:
 
Strong follow-up to a great opening, bleargh! The uberpremed part reminded me of the honey badger video... "Uberpremed don't care, uberpremed don't give a ****"

I'm moving hopefully 1-3 weeks before my school starts, but I'm only moving like 20 minutes away, so I'm not stressed about it yet.

And my font in my post-writing box has changed yet again... SDN, stop playing mind games with me

Actually, that is totally my bad. I was at my computer but I turned the gchat notifications off because they were annoying when I got them while video chatting. My bad. I was distracted by leading by Football Manager 2011 - was leading my little Polish club to victory against giants of football in the champions league. There's no way Wis

Orientation is July 25th for me. Classes start on August 1st. I try not to look at the daily schedule...it's too frightening. 😱

Yay, Geeks! My other pregnant friend passed only by the skin of her teeth so she has to be monitored. 🙁

We have orientation beginning August 1st too, classes start the 8th. Still not believing this is really happening.
 
That picture is extremely disturbing...it's like the hair is swirling and pulling you into the abyss of the belly button.
 
I haven't been around these parts in a while, and now there's some crazy c/o 2018 going around...

Anyway, congrats to all who are starting this year! If you have any questions, I will be doing nothing for the next four weeks until second year starts.
 
Apparently I have decided that my time between now and starting school is best used by going to Disney every day and eating chocolate covered marshmallows.

Not sure how this happened....since the original plan was to work out twice a day and drop some weight😕

I need to start running through the park. I'm sure security would yell at me though. Like they do when you run at the pool.

Off to read bleargh's second post...

Edit: second and THIRD post, that is.
