I'm puppysitting and have my last volunteer shift before school starts. Tomorrow I plan on doing as much nothing as possible, but I'll probably have to run home and get organized, maybe buy some new clothes. I should have looked when I was out earlier but I'm spending averse given yesterday was my last paycheck. Eek!

I just finished up an $1800 adventure to IKEA this morning/afternoon.

I also began my battle with the moving demons yesterday. I think this summarizes my reaction to driving the 16' truck for the first time:

Moving's a pretty big pain in the ass. I'm also starting to dislike my roommate who's also going into first year. He seems pretty immature.

In other news, I was approved by the bank yesterday for a $200k line of credit with prime interest. Awesome.
 
$200k? For undergrad? Well best of luck to you man, most of my stuff(thankfully) is covered by scholarships/grants etc.
 
Got the 16' truck loaded up for the most part today. Thank heaven for helpful friends.

Is it bad that when I picked it up I thought "it seems small--will all my crap fit in it?"

When I picked it up, I said "holy crap, this is huge." The only reason I got one so big is because I'm towing a car and 16' is the smallest you can get to tow.

So yeah, I'd say that's pretty bad. 🙁

No, a $200k line of credit for med school. Ideally, I'll only be $100k in debt when I'm done so $200k is more than enough.

Frenchies! 😉

I used a 14' U-Haul truck the last time I moved. It has a higher ceiling. I think that's why the Budget truck seems small.
 
I haven't bought ANY school supplies yet, not even a backpack (I have NO idea where the hell my backpack disappeared to in the move). I figured I'd wait and see what they suggested we actually need to buy during orientation.

I was scared to death driving our moving truck and we only took it about 3 miles, if that, from the apartment to the house.
 
I love driving trucks.

Should have become a truck driver.

I saw Cowboys and Aliens and went to lunch with Flow yesterday. He is a good movie companion; doesn't hog the handrest, and didn't mind when I kicked him repeatedly.

I also went back to Ikea to return stuff, and got a Genius to look at my Mac. I has a sad Mac🙁

Yes...

But they usually DO look pregnant. I think this one is largely the angle the picture was taken and the pattern of the dress. There is one review of that dress with a picture and the girl looks adorable.
 
i just meant it looks like someone who isn't pregnant but is wearing one of those fake pregnancy bellies

I've been sick since tuesday and orientation starts tomorrow 🙁
 
They very well may have fake bellies on. I have NO idea! I definitely look more pregnant than that chick, as you've seen on Facebook. :laugh:

This post made me sad....because it made me realize I need to wear something "nice" to white coat and I hadn't even thought that far ahead yet🙁

JK, that is an awesome dress! It actually reminds me of auto camo, which I've always thought looked mesmerizing.

Yeah I rewatched part of it the other day too 🙂. The color palate reminds me of a lot of my favorite games. I love games with bright colors. Spyro the dragon was awesome.

Holy cow I'm tired. Went salsa dancing with a classmate last night (but here where I live) and didn't get back till 2:30.

Also, Cougs is AWESOME--definitely a fantastic conversationalist and adventure buddy!

I sent off my friend who came to visit me Thursday night back to Maryland...he was here visiting me til today, and we had a blast! That's why I've been MIA! But, his trip was mostly: eating, drinking, comedy show-ing, and walking around town like a tourist. T'was quite fun! 🙂

Good luck with your Ikea furniture! Always a bitch to do haha..

I remember our conversation..we're about one week "behind" you...random comment, I know. 😛 I'm sorry you Mac has a sad. What is wrong with it? Also, I always swoon around most Apple store employees-I swear they only hire good looking ones. le sigh.
 
There's a thread on our main page that says "Which school is most like Hogwarts?"....while I didn't lick on it, it made me think about how I just saw HP 7.2 a few nights ago....SO SAD TO SEEEE IT END.

I hear orientation bi-week is just one straight party AMS (new acronym: at my school)

I've figured out what I'm wearing the first three days of school! I love the city I'm in right now... first time I've had a nordstrom rack at my disposal. Got some nice shirt + pants for cheap (white coat on 2nd day of orientation, gotta dress up!).
