on another note, my pre med adviser loved my PS rough draft (which...makes me not want to have it be a draft bc i like it too...) which is very surprising because she usually is on my case all the time about everything. so either: a) she's lying bc she hates me and wants me to not get in, b) she's tired of telling people their PS's suck and was trying to change it up, c) she actually does love it, d) she doesn't want to be on my case any more bc i don't get scared by her antics.

I was there until about 10 minutes before you asked that question.

So I just swung by my alma mater to show the baby off to my physics professor from last year, who was very accomodating to me near my due date and loved me in her class. As much as I like this woman, and as good of an LOR I know she'll write for me, it's a damn good thing she's not a pre-med advisor. She seems to think Carib MD's have 100% residency placement and that I'd be at a huge disadvantage if I went DO, even though we're in the Philly area, which is hugely DO friendly. She's got it back asswards.

Nah I'm pretty sure it's volunteer, but I'm not sure, and I don't know what the process of becoming a mod entails.


Are any of you traveling this spring/summer in May/June/July? I'm gonna start planning a trip overseas after the MCAT and at this point I'm traveling solo.

why would anyone be a mod then? idk, i'm one of those people (a holes) that doesn't really understand why people volunteer...i mean we are trying to get into med school, but why volunteer after that?

👍 I took mine last september. I wouldn't call it smooth sailing though. . . December was spent getting LOR and March is all about writing my PS. Compared to other people I do have it pretty good though. Doing all of it at once would be sucky.
