If I get into a school I like early in the cycle I'm using the rest of the cash I saved to travel. New Zealand and Autralia would be awesome. Although my buddy went to thailand and apparently their are always a lot of vacationing australians/europeans. Also in thailand you can stretch your money pretty far. He said you could get a bungalow on the beach for ~$15. Also he was getting 1 hour thai massages twice a day for $4 each.
 
damn guys im really having trouble with my personal statement, ive been staring at the same 3 garbage paragraphs for the last 3 hours....i deleted them and now its just a blank screen

i wanted to finish my first draft by friday so i can get it reviewed...

I think it is important to finish writing what you start even if you think it sucks. After your done read it again and see what works and what doesn't. Then go back and make changes or even start over again.

Definitely write until you finish.

i just pressed ctrl Z lol

it was just 3 random ideas that came to my mind, but i cant come up with a consistent theme or idea to flow with and its been frustrating me for the last few days
 
think of the personal statement as the writing section on the MCAT - you have 30 mins, and you have to write your mind out.

See what comes out, and then analyze it - you'll get a general gist of the personality you want to convey, and you can rewrite/modify based on the general concept you are trying to convey.

For me, i struggled with mentally figuring out what I wanted to convey, but when I just wrote for 30 mins without worrying about its quality, I was able to figure out my main topic.

i kinda have an idea, but i dont know how to connect and make it flow

are you guys including research and stuff in your essay? or just taking specific examples

You may realize a theme after you get out all of the ideas you think are important.

I included 2 specific stories from my clinical experience then talked about my passion for learning and the satisfaction I receive from doing research (included 1 very short paragraph about my research).

i added a 'suggested' friend on facebook about a year ago all the way in arizona that i had never met cause i was bored, started talking, and she's turned into a pretty cool online chat buddy now

i do not recommend adding random people as a hobby, however..
 
im here....still with a crapy PS lol i have to do some major thinking tomorrow and figure this thing out
 
the first time i tried to write my PS i came out with 4 pages... just write everything down and then you'll have a few ideas that come out that you can focus on.

That's funny. What's even funnier is that I spelled "meet" as "meat" when talking about fake robot chick. But I suppose that's how it could have gone too..😀

Ugh, I'm sick. My right tonsil is enormous. I don't think I've ever had tonsillitis before, and it's bizarre. You can feel it pressing on the back of your tongue and throat.

I'm just now getting over my tonsilitis, also hadn't had it before. I dunno about you, but it hurt to just swallow. This was weird, because you never realize how much you swallow in a day and also the pressure thing. Also had referring pressure in my ears which was kinda strange, too. Feel better!
 
got my tonsils and adenoids out when i was about 10, of course, this was only after routine blood work eluded the doctors to think i had hemophillia. :laugh: I do not miss those little lymph balls.

never too early to start...I remember guys banging pots and pans at 7am in the cold dorm before celebratory weekends. Oh memories
 
In case anyone cares, I did indeed pwn at the gym. 60 minutes of cardio followed by 10 minutes of sprints on the treadmill. finished up with some hip/butt aduction/abduction.


:yawn:....work in two hours.

as for working out ya'll should swim after workouts.
