Class of 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
for secondaries i'm approaching them as be myself and get them in as soon as possible.

Sounds good. Sometimes I worry I write too informally, but since we're talking about personal stuff that should be allowed.

On an unrelated note: I've purchased an embarrassing amount of Oregon strawberries recently and have been both eating tons straight and having a bake-a-thon. Is it possible to be addicted to a fruit?

its k they have been great so far, i'll let it slide this time

I have had a very heavy blueberry habit for the past 5 weeks...I ran out a week ago and haven't been able to get any since and I am wrecked🙁

 what? if we all go to the same school I'll pretend I don't know you, and we can "meet" all over again.

haha. It's actually pretty cool, though. I met one of my best friends over the internet on college confidential before I went to college. We are very close now. It can be pretty weird if you think about it; if it wasn't for the Internet, we would have never probably met.

I met one of my best friends in highschool on the internet, too. He was a year behind me so we didn't get to hang out as much and wouldn't have met normally, but it was a strong friendship otherwise.

alright guys i'll put ur imaginations at ease, just requested to join the fb group

Anyone fb friends with baller should look at his status right now...definitely the victim of a prank

I've had a problem with watermelon lately (yes yes, laugh at the stereotypes).

@ChemDude I've met people on the internet before, just messing with you. 🙂

I always forget who's who when they didn't reply to the discussion thread.

Ok...I admit it...I was evil and invited two of my friends to join the group so there would be confusion over who they were...

lol the guilty always confess

who ever feels comfortable adding sdn friends on fb can add me if they like.

So I found out today that when I added 4 schools to my application (before verification), my submission date doesn't change and I'm not bumped back to the end of the line. That's a huge relief. Hopefully I'll be verified this week and can get started on secondaries. So far I've only seen the prompts for Einstein and GW out of all the schools I applied to.

You guys are friending each other on FB?? Lol, I wonder now if random requests I get are from SDN people

Random question of the evening: In New Zealand if you want to be a doctor, you go to medical school straight out of high school and spend 5 years total learning sciences and medicine. Do you think that's a good system or a bad system?

my dad went through that system and I think hes amazing at what he does (although i think it was 6 years).
it's less time to explore what u want to do, but its def enough time to learn the science/medicine.

i respectfully disagree, i think its been pretty good up till now

Yeah, last season picked it up back and I guess the last few episodes of the season before with Vince's career going down the tubes made it interesting. I just feel the last few seasons, its the same thing over and over again. Like its the same formula each episode, and with a happy ending. That's why it's gotten stale for me, since the first two seasons were golden.

There was no conflict in this premiere, so hopefully they develop some sort of conflict in the plot.

It's like that in a lot of countries. I think one drawback I see with that is not enough life experience/maturity before you start practicing?

I think it works under a certain set of circumstances, but I'm not sure we could do it here.

yea i hope so too, i want arry to go ape **** and make a TEAM DRAMA!! (which he leads)

Yeah I think gaining maturity and experience is really important. Or taking classes in something other than science to broaden your education. I know personally if I had to choose in high school what career I wanted, I probably wouldn't have chosen medicine. Then again, New Zealand has a pretty solid healthcare system and generally better outcomes than the US so they must be doing something right 🙂

Are any of you guys working on secondaries already?? I'm trying to explain my W for OChem II and I don't know how to explain it. Basically I screwed around and still 4.0ed OChem I thanks to a really easy teacher (studied for tests the night before), but didn't learn anything. Then OChem II kicked my butt, did okay for first test but just couldn't keep up...hmmm

when i was a kid and ppl asked me what i wanted to be when i grow up, i always answered "a millionaire" and then they laugh and ask how r u gonna do that and i would say " im gonna go to millionaire school" and i remember thinking that that was actually how the world worked lolol

I wouldn't mention that Ochem I was easy...it makes you look worse because your A in Ochem I loses its legitimacy.

just tell them your prof was racist

When I was little I wanted to be a farmer or a professional athlete. I wrote an essay about it. Pretty random.

I do love Ari too. I think he'd be the perfect interview coach....or interviewer. I love to see him shred some 4.0/45 applicant. 😀

lawlz.

ok. so listen to this. One of my friends keeps bombing the verbal reasoning section on the MCAT. He got a 5 on his last take. What's his excuse? The AAMC doesn't want any _____(ethnic group) practicing medicine so they change their verbal answers...it's so ridiculous because he actually believes it...
