I just found out that one of my favorite pulmonology fellows graduated from Westernstate College. Oh we've butted many a head before but we just had an excellent talk.


Im going to Estes Park this weekend (for the 4th). Originally I was booked at the Stanely Hotel but after reading some really, really bad reviews, I scrambeled into a 2 bedroom Condo. Now I am booked at both places and the Stanley apparently cant cancel my reservation till the morning. Oiii, I hope they let me out. I've already placed a $400 deposit down. :scared:


Oh, and please dont mind my spelling. Im using IE and we all know that it suxs.

I live for hockey. therfore I have undying support for the great north (other than thier seal hunts.....but we will NOT get into that now).


Funny thing. The doc who I said graduted from Westernstate, he was just showing me pics tonight of him swimming (scuba-ing) with a shark whale. he was tiny tiny tiny next to it.

that dude sounds pretty kool. i took my grandma to an eye doctor once and the guy had pictures of him when he use to race motorcycles on his wall. i was inspired.

Okay... my AMCAS needs to verify today. It was "under review" I think all weekend. Let's goooooooooooooo.

Chicklet is in a craptacular mood, very "no"-y today. Too bad we've got her 18 month appointment today and she's going to be even pissier later.
 
MELON FARMER!

I need to call AMCAS in 10 minutes. Now it says they're waiting for transcripts, and the one school where it wasn't required now says not received. It's actually my alma mater, but I went back there after I took a few classes at another school, but all of my classes are on the one transcript. Like 2 weeks ago someone changed it to Not Required for me, and I guess someone changed it back. GAH!

I don't care that it's Monday morning. I need a drink.
 
Fanfriggintastic.

Even though I was told by the registar's office that all of my grades would be on that one transcript, they apparently weren't. My post-bacc stuff is not on it. I am SO furious right now.

I'm making Chicklet some breakfast then we're taking a ride over there. Good thing for me, bad thing for them, that the school is only 10 minutes away.
 
I don't remember her name, but she's got her own desk with her name on it, so I know who it was.

Well that was pretty painless. I showed up, starting explaining why I was there. I was already ready to insist things get mailed THAT day and that demand that I wasn't going to pay for the transcripts a second time (I don't know if I mentioned this, but I also requested a transcript to AACOMAS that same day and they never got it). Then another woman stepped up and said she'd make sure everything got sent out again, today, and that the transcripts had both sets of grades, from the bachelor's degree and the post-bacc.

She better make good.

I was looking at AMCAS and though that I misreported my involvement in something by a year. Then I realized I've really been doing it for 5 years now.

just got GW today,

when they say what is your most significant non-academic accomplishment
does that just mean "not school related" ?
I made a program for a clinic to use in their practice, is that academic? or is it something else?

That sounds like it would be fine. I guess as long as it's not attached to your grades or something?
 
Flow, thanks for reminding me I need to start on Yale's....
UMich is done and the second essay is being proofed yay!

It took me WAY too long yesterday to get a picture of the correct size and cut it down for Columbia🙁

Still waiting on one more letter ::sigh:: She finished a draft and had it proofed so hopefully she gets the final in this week so I don't have to worry about my files being complete at schools. She swore July 1st, so we'll see. She has had plenty of time. SO mad I assigned the letter to schools before it was in....should have just waited.
 
That "Time to take filling out secondaries" thread is freaking me out.

i was at my friends place yesterday and she made me try this Vietnamese dish, it was pork, some leaves, rice powder?, wrapped in a rice sheet or something and then dipped in fish sauce.
it was alright.. but of course i told her i really liked it cuz her mom and dad were standing next to me asking you like you like?!

but that meant i had to have another 1 lol, i quickly asked for a drink.
