To join in on the previous convo, not a fan of the Keurig cup. I don't think the coffee is as good as a good ground (I am partial to Dunkin Donuts myself). Also, definitely increases the waste stream. I make about half a pot a day and that's usually all I drink for the day. Just regular coffee, don't like the froofy stuff (except occasionally).

I know just how you feel about work and payday. As far as the Keurig goes, I'm not a huge fan of coffee in the first place, but I realize it's cheaper than energy drinks and the Keurig is extremely convenient.

I went through the same thing before college, lol. I was working a high stress, crap job at a Super Kmart in a bad neighborhood over the summer. Had an incident one night where two of the customers (they didn't know eachother) in my line got in a cursing match. One was louder than the other so I asked her to please stop as there were children around (this was around 7 pm). She called me a racist and then started berating me. The on duty cop showed up and things calmed down.

I was ready to quit that night, paycheck be damned, but I said to myself I needed that money and I shouldn't let that crazy person keep me from getting it.
 
I also do enjoy the keurig for the simplicity and ease of use
But I agree the best taste for me is french press
Though actually my favorite coffee is during the summer: cold-brewed 🙂

I have the exact same preferences. Keurig for convenience, French press for taste, cold brewed in the summer.

The cold brew method I like also makes the coffee double strength so thats a bonus
 
So don't judge me... but,

I've been sick in bed with the flu for 3 days, right after getting home from my deployment. I have no idea why, but I had a crazy dream last night.

I dreamt that I was home in bed recovering and my gf was here taking care of me, but my gf was actually Jennifer Lawrence and she nursed me back to health then she taught me how to kiss.

Hahaha. Wtf is that about?!? I don't even have a crush on her. Lol. I've only ever seen her in The Hunger Games.

Am I losing my mind? Has this flu caused brain damage? Lol

When in doubt, throw a sandwich at your customer and tell them to vacate the premises; that's what I did as manager of a sandwich shop. Fun times 🙂

Back in undergrad my lab got a Keurig, everyone was excited until we actually tried it. We ended up doing our coffee runs as usual. That stuff was only used during desperate times, in my recollection it was like watered down coffee...

I got a soy latte with two shots today 😎

Yup, it a was fairly hefty sammich, but non-injurious if you will, just meaty enough to get the point across that we don't tolerate rude, entitled, and obnoxious customers. I also pointed at the sign that read "We reserve the right to refuse service."

Yeah, I'm up at 5:20am every weekday. :yawn:

Wow. I try to get up at 6:30am but today I got up at 7, it feels so nice to hit the snooze button.

Yeah, sutures rock. UTHSC actually allows you to volunteer as a suture tech during M1 and allows you to transition to a paid position during M2. I learned the basics from my friend (who's an M1) while I stayed at his place before and after the interview. Pretty cool stuff indeed,loved it.

UF is actually my top choice! ...so I'm pretty much going to have a profligate 5 months with the rest of you... except on Monday for one more interview 🙂

And ya I was pretty much in panic mode in January when I had 0 interviews (I only applied to 5 schools). Feb 2013 will forever be one of my greatest months, sad to see it go ^_^

I'm so jelly. Not only do I not have a spring break, but I'm saving ALL my PTO for a nice payout when I leave (2 weeks worth of pay: w00t!).

My project is finally moving along! I scheduled two important meetings for next week and I get to try my new running shoes today 😎

Get one with unlimited milage, not sure if the exist but 8've done it with rental cars... I've also moved using rental cars. Also, I heard that if you get AAA they'd give you very good Uhaul discounts. :luck:

Hmm good point... I could probably fit everything I want to bring in an SUV. I'll keep that in mind 🙂
