The huskies are always overrated in football. A few years ago they were ranked in the top 25 and they still lost a ton of games. In 2008 they went 0-12.

The team you should be rooting for is the Cougs. Mike Leach is going to make a difference and the Apple Cup is going to stay in Pullman for the next few years.
 
Anyone have any idea how to send an email to a school explaining you love them but the financial aid makes it almost impossible to choose? I guess I could call but I am not a fan of talking on the phone :laugh: Also I don't want to sound like I am just asking for money or ungrateful for what they gave me.

Haha as much as you hate talking on the phone I think it would be better to call them directly. If they are really interested in you maybe they will offer you more. It never hurts to try, what's the worst that can happen?

Haha yeah I think you are right. This is how I imagine the conversation going:

Financial aid: Hello?
Me: Yeah I was accepted and want to discuss my financial aid award. I love your school but because of significant aid elsewhere it will be almost impossible for me to choose it over those schools.
FA: Ok have fun at those other schools *hang up*

Well that was easy. They just asked me send them a copy of my other awards and said they don't have any merit money now(expected) but the situation might change in the future and they will see if they can do anything at that time. Guess we will see how it plays out.

Only two people know what really went down 😛 But you're right, it's wrong to fling mud based on an unsubstantiated allegation.

Still, Kobe cheated on his wife, which is gross, and he generally conducts himself in a way that I just can't get on board with. Maybe he's a nice, genuine person, but I can't tell based on his public persona. Also, he doesn't pass the ball.

I called one of the financial aid office people. She wasn't the director but she was on the aid letter as the person to contact. I think it depends on the school, your best bet is probably to go through the admissions office if you don't know who to contact. I am sure they can get you to the right place if they can't help you.
 
Now that my big scholarship application is done, I'm looking around for other smaller scholarships to apply to and there isn't much out there for medical students is there?! sad face.

I hear some of the best ones are regional. By that I mean some hometowns set up scholarship funds for medical students. Otherwise, a couple of my interviews said "the scholarships online become more attainable after your first year". Not sure how true that is, but I'm going to keep my hopes up!

If you do find any though... help a brotha out! My current total COA could be >$350k, all in loans :scared:

Yep, I agree with your whole post, COA and all. I've only found one regional scholarship that I've applied to so far. I don't know where else to look. And yeah, it looks like it's a tiny bit easier to apply to some of these scholarships when you're a 1st year going on 2nd.
