Hey, has anyone gotten corrections on their FAFSA by their school's finaid office? I just received an email about mine, and it appears about 5k has been placed in the "Money received" category. As I haven't heard about any scholarship or anonymous family donation, I'm wondering what this means. My finaid officer hasn't answered the phone or email.

The whole internet is stalker-ish at this point. I'm not looking forward to 10 years from now when everyone has those damn google glass things and you can't talk to anyone or be in public without an assumption that everything you say may be recorded & uploaded somewhere and then tagged with facial recognition to your global internet profile.

I might become amish.

I stayed up that late watching tv shows that I am multiple seasons behind on. In fact, that is what I am doing again tonight. 🙂

Stores do have security cameras, but they don't use face recognition to automatically check you into the store on facebook as you walk in the door. I'm sure stuff like that is coming, and theoretically you can opt out of facebook, but it's going to get harder to do that. Businesses & landlords already kind of look at you like you might be a serial killer if you don't have a facebook.

Anyway, I'm sure in 20 years I'll be that old person that's like "BACK IN MY DAY, you could go to the corner store without all of your friends knowing what brand of condoms you just bought!"
 
Now that I've made myself sound like a neo luddite....I'm spending part of today setting up a brand new macbook air! 😳

You can protect yourself by always wearing this:
