We get e-mails with our grades... Push notifications are the best thing ever.
 
We take our exams on Mondays, and we don't find out until Thursday. It's a long wait for sure.
 
My school gave out its first acceptances today. Are they already looking to replace us? 🙁

Yeah, that sounds like it would suck pretty hard. We have integrated exams every three weeks, and I thought that was bad.

Too much information at once... it'd be nice to not have 100% of my grade determined by a single final each block. Med school is hard regardless of the curriculum though, so I should probably just stop complaining.

I am doing a mock interview today and I finally sat down and read the secondary the person submitted. Their final sentence is like copy and paste of the one I have in my personal statement on my mdapps. Same word choice and flow. Did they plagiarize me?!?!?!?

Well it isn't exactly the same. It's more like they used the same strong words and flow from two sentences of mine to make one sentence of theirs.

I may just ask them to define tenacity and see if they actually know what it means.

From talking to them it didn't seem like they did it intentionally. I didn't call them out but it seemed like they genuinely felt that way.

Maybe I am too soft.

So today is day two of MCBM and I can't even believe how much stuff I almost remember! Too bad this isn't horseshoes or hand grenades because I get the feeling almost remembering will not be helpful in med school.

Lol we also call it MCBM. Not as bad for me since I took biochem and molec very recently in undergrad...
 
What is it about Genetics lectures and unnecessary nudity? Seriously. I'm trying to eat a sandwich and blast through a recorded lecture or two at double speed, and it's just non-stop deformed baby genitals. You can just tell me. Only my nightmares will remember the deformities, not my conscious practicing self in 3 years, damn it.
 
Power is out in Seattle and I just found out people have no idea how to drive if the stop lights aren't on. Some people stop, others just run through (without stopping) as other cars are going.

Scariest moment of my life happened like 15 minutes ago when someone almost hit my car on the drivers side when they didn't stop.

Apparently it is not obvious. On my main road there were no less than 30 cars that drove through a stop light until 1 stopped. The others proceeded to honk at him.
 
The worst is not being able to look at the virtual histology slides. I need an internet connection (not on my phone) for that. And I need electricity for that to work!

Lame.
