assuming it's what I think it is. have to find out
Well thank god we have ppl that are more interested in primary care, because supposedly there is a shortage and then you have the ppl that like surgery unlike ppl who can't stand it or stay away from it as much as they can.
edit: I just got top! holy fu**

Alright, good night peeps, I'm out! 😴
One cool thing is the lasting relationships you get to have with your patients as a psychiatrist. I remember reading in a book of a guy proposing to one of his patients 😍
Well just a book, but it can happen! He looked over her for many years.

I also really want to do Latino health/work in Spanish-speaking areas, and there's a surprisingly huge shortage of endocrinologists in general, not to mention areas with less physicians overall.
damn your good, that or neuro
Yeah, I honestly can't stand surgery at all. I'm going to do the absolute bare minimum of surgery and get out of it ASAP.

psych is pretty laid back both in residency and practice and it can be very lucrative if you have a practice with volumes of patients
trying to find some good books to read lately
You mean private practice? Is it also okay if you're not doing that? At least for a while.psych is pretty laid back both in residency and practice and it can be very lucrative if you have a practice with volumes of patients
What kind of books are you interested in? I might have some recommendations.....
Thats awesome! Do you have experience working in undeserved areas/with spanish speaking populations? I REALLY want to learn spanish but WHENNNN.....ug
Ortho and Neuro are pretty awesome! Good luck!
This is probably me too....I can't see myself being a surgeon but I'll try to keep my mind open.
OMG Deathstar fail! Torshi win!
Wouldn't that be a little unethical?

starting a private practice needs start up money and no one knows you until you establish patients

work with a partner. you can always take out loans to start up a practice and advertise yourself to the hospital. the hospital will pass all their psych patients down to you and bam!!, you're in business
