Haha! Not quite! Verbal seems to be the determining factor in my high score or not. I got 39 (14, 11, 14). Stupid verbal! No excuse but I did get distracted during verbal and ended up having to rush through the last couple passages. O well...39 works!

AAMC 11 done!

36 (PS 11, VR 11, BS 14)

Very pleased with BS! PS has been disappointed, my average PS score is a 13 and I guess that's where the main difference between this score and what I've typically been getting comes from. Oh well! Now I just have to focus for test day in two days and hope for the best!

Congrats on the 39 tots! You are a champ! My 13 on AAMC 8 VR was a result of divine intervention. I cannot tell you how it happened and if I did know I would likely sell it to the world and make $$$ 😀

Hahahaha not to be a total prick, but BAHAHAHAHA I got every Ochem question right on AAMC 7! I have noooo idea how, but I did. Probably because it focused on Grignards, and I effing love those. But after I reviewed my 14 BS, I realized that luck was a huge factor: there were at least 3 questions where I made a sort of educated guess, but still got the question right. 14's never happening again 🙁

But holy bananas Batman, CONGRATS TOTS! You're a total beast, two 14's is absolutely insane! Whatachamp.

And congrats, GooseWing!!! You're consistently beastular, and you'll beast the MCAT.

And I am pretty sure I am not a beast and instead attribute my success to the leprechauns I keep in my pocket. Like you said a lot of it is luck and ability to guess the right answer from the wrong BS. If I only got the questions right that I knew then I would probably get a 12 instead of a 14.

hahahaha more like Ochem randomness! I LOVED THE TLC PLATE QUESTION. TLC is my homedog. I've run so many of those bad boys they've started to run me. I didn't like the Diels-Alder crap that popped up, but I made an educated guess. What I like about 80% of MCAT Ochem is that it's not necessary to really know the reactions/mechanisms super deeply like we had to for the actual class. Woo! I just hate carbohydrate ring structures. They're gross. Do we need to understand Haworth projections? Those shizzes make no sense to me.

Yeah, I agree. Making good guesses is vital to BS, especially when they throw you topics like blastulas and crap like that, which stink and shouldn't exist 😱
