yeah same. this week has been hell. 3 major exams this week and one of them being ochem tomorrow. :scared: been studying my butt off but it only seems to add to the confusion i already have with the material. oh well, i'm not the only one lol i sure hope the curve goes in my favor :meanie:

LOL, I hope it goes in your favor as well but you probably wont need it :xf: However, good luck! I have two major exams but im ready... I think :laugh:

First time thread writer but yeah I took that one
did not do well on Verbal but still ended up with 94% overall
 
Gosh, this year has made me realize how tough it is to apply for med school. I have no ECs so I'm literally attempting (and failing) to pile up anything remotely relevant to the application process. I really wish I did this earlier. I'm getting headaches just thinking about what I need for my application and what experience i should get.
 
WTF is with those scores in the 8/23 thread? I'm soooo freaking jealous 🙁🙁

I know what you mean. I recently decided to be a doctor so I'm desperately trying to get some clinical experience + shadowing + research before June.

I have shadowing and a semester of research, but I really need to stack up on the volunteering. I have 0 hours as of right now, and it looks really bad for me to cram it all in during the semester before I am applying.

But your stats are wonderful! Did you work full time? Medical schools can let a little slide if you did. Other than that its time to get crackin! You can do this though we are all behind you 🙂

I'm the opposite. I have volunteering but 0 research and shadowing. :laugh:

But look on the bright side, your scores are wonderful and there's still time to volunteer until you apply.

While I have some volunteering, about to start research but no shadowing >.<

Same boat guys.... But the thing is i have ALOT of ECs varying from clubs to NGOs but i have 0 research and 0 shadowing, but i might get to shadow in a couple of weeks, but STILL what am i going to do? giving the fact that where i am now there are no volunteer/research "medically related" opportunities to premeds 🙁 so i'm kinda s****ed here! :scared:

Unfortunately, I had no job. I just had fun and worked for school, and after taking the mcat and understanding the application cycle, I realized that I was an idiot because I have to apply so soon, and yet I procrastinated on a ton of stuff. I'm still looking around for a part time job or something this semester since I'm only taking 12 hours and I don't want to look like a bum. My volunteering starts in november (even though I applied in mid August) so I have to fill up my free time with something useful until then. I guess thats the downside of going to a huge public university. It's a bit difficult to come by open positions and if you do, you have to wait.
