Class of 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
This may seem like a silly question, but do you have to accept the full loan amount the school offers you?

I don't think so, I think that it is possible to talk to the financial aid office about receiving more or less loans than are offered. This is what my girlfriend did for her masters program, but I'm not sure if its the same for medical schools. However, I assume it would be.

Do you have to turn full loans down or can you just turn a portion of a loan down?

You can adjust the amount you want to borrow. You just tell financial aid how much you want to borrow and they'll send you new documents to sign I believe.

Some schools will let you not take out the full amount upfront and then come to the office for more if needed. However, some schools don't do this.

Regardless, I believe you can pay back any amount within 120 days and get the fees back and without interest on that amount.

Where do you work? I'd screw over approximately no one by not showing today. And yet, I'm still here 🙁

Usually I'm at the hospital running blood and urine test, but today I'm at a smaller off site location doing the same thing. It's nice because I like working by myself, but I don't really have the option of calling in.

How do you do it, Tots?! I won't even be able to make ends meet even with working all the way until the beginning of July.

What is your bill situation?

I moved back home and had a fulltime job and part time job for the past year. So effectively - decent amounts of income and absolutely no living expenses. Most of that went to interviewing/second looks. The rest going to Europe.

Same. I wish I had Tots money.

Moving to medical school broke

I am done in 7 weeks, 1 week will be vacation and 1 training so technically 5 weeks at the office 😀 Then again I feel like August is coming too quickly.

I assume I'm so high up on Agent B's list that he wasn't able to list me.

Yeah, thats what I thought. You are like an A list member so you get V.I.P. treatment which includes a secret ranking. Lucky!
