What is going on with SDN??? These threads are terrible. Is this normal for this time of year? There was a URM thread in the allo forum. Med students were talking about undergrad GPA and MCAT scores.... WTF is happening around here.

What in SAM HEY-ULL happened to your avatar!? I sure hope you didn't post in that URM thread. I think they'd get the wrong idea. 😆 🤣 It seriously looks like blackface even without reading that post about the URM thread. :scared: It initially really freaked me out man.

On that note, after an hour and 45 minute, 6.5mi hike through the park, I've decided on UT. Thank you so much for all of your opinions, advice, and perspectives. That said, I just can't bring myself to write the email. I have a feeling it's going to come on Wednesday, an initially terse email that will transition into the glib pity party of not having the cajones to take on that much debt, transitioning into how I instead hope to hotdogs I can get in when it comes time for residency.

I feel for you bro. I think it's the write choice but that emails gunna be hard 2 right.

For all the Game of Thrones fans here... I literally cannot stop laughing and have watched this at least seven times in a row (minor spoilers from S3 E1 and E2).

Thanks! Got off the wait list at Toledo. Just because of the astronomical costs of CCOM, I think I'm going to withdraw from the DO school. Other than that, I would have been happy to attend-- they have some great features, particularly in clinical years.

The problem for me is that no places want me to sign a lease two months ahead of time. I have to wait a little longer before I can find a place.

Are y'all living alone? With roommates? After being out of school and getting used to having my own room, my own space, I don't think I could ever go back to sharing rooms--roommates are OK, but I need my own area haha 🙂

I am going to. It is more expensive but I think I would rather do that. Plus, I am living with my fiancée too.

Yeah, I think having my own room is essential. I'm fine with room mates as long as they're not super messy and/or inconsiderate. I've lived with 4 girls for the past year which has been interesting (one of them is my long term girlfriend).
 
T minus less than 24hrs till decision day! I have to admit I never thought it would go down like this, I'm so excited, nervous and grateful.
 
Received my first acceptance this morning!

I has been a LOOONNNNGGGG time coming, but I'M GOING TO BE A DOCTOR!!!
