Let's put it this way: first season of Breaking Bad was awesome. Second season was better. Third better yet. Fourth still better. Fifth has been the greatest season on TV hands down.

I need to find a way to do a full series marathon at some point.

They played the marathon starting on Thursday until today I think for the series finale. It was AWESOME

And the ending was perfect. I loved it. I will have to do a marathon viewing of them this summer.

Man, I have not been on here for awhile. Btw, my school had a pilot program with the new Mcat material. I feel bad for people applying in 2015.
 
"Special topics" standardized patient encounter today... I had to ask a little old lady if she does anal.

We had a session where we went and did a redundant history with real patients in the hospital. SPs vs real patients: real patients are barely audible.

Yeah they trip you up because it's a relative of the SP, not a professional interpreter. You have to coach up the relative on how it works. They also have a lot of side conversations and you're supposed to stop them from doing that.
 
I think I'll give up medical school and start selling elephant leaves mixed in bacon grease to people. Seems to do wonders for painful feet

Histo's weird. I hate it with an unholy passion, but I'm doing fine in it. It's probably my strongest class right now. My weakest is biochem, which I actually love.

I pray to god anatomy turns out like histo. I feel like I know nothing in that class, and our exams our really close by. And I'd rather do DREs all day than go back to anatomy lab.
 
Anatomy final on Monday...maybe I'm weird but I really wish they would move it up to Friday.
 
Fournier gangrene... Definitely something I never want to see, have happen to me or treat in a patient.

I was studying late in the library when I took a bathroom break. I passed by the main lecture hall and heard a presentation being given. I peep in and see a bunch of high school kids getting an orientation for some mentoring program. I smell the free food from the cafeteria in the back. Shamelessly, I sneak in to steal a plate... or three. Yeah, the dude with the beard is totally still in high school, why must you stare?

Best day ever.
 
End of block one. It feels so damn good to be free (for a week anyway).

Who hasn't done this? Seriously, whenever there are seminars or grand rounds for the residents or profs at our school, some prof or other person stands sentry by the free pizza, protecting it from the hordes of med students.
