Class of 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Tylenol Scholarship notifications are supposed ot go out by the 15th...
:luck::xf::luck::xf::luck::xf::luck::xf:

Good luck!

The only thing I'm hoping for is a paper to come out of one of the few stalled projects I worked on over the summer. 🙁

I'm guessing the Tylenol people already let the recipients know since the 15th is in a few days.

They didn't say they were making an announcement by the 15th, just that they were notifying by the 15th. Trying to keep hope alive for another 24 hours, lol.

Oh okay, I misunderstood. Hope is still alive!

Welp. Radio silence.

On the plus side I'm going backpacking for 4 days next week. And then...SCHOOLNADO
Check their website, it says they will announce by the 31st...

But the Facebook page says 15th...

Tylenol needs to get their story straight and just say if they picked the winners.

Same here with the silence. Also I have already started second year.

Maybe two negatives equal a positive in this case?

They updated their Facebook page to announce the 31st date now and not the 15th. But they may have picked their finalists and not winners, and if you didn't get a message you are finished. :/

You're right. I'm finished.

Glad to see this thread is still going strong. Just started second week of second year... 10 hours of lecture in 2 days :lame:
I know that feel. Our first day was 7 hours of lecture. 😢

:wow: Woah, good luck man. Year 2 is no joke. But hey, at least it's shorter than last year.

We were reminded of this during the welcome back class meeting when the deans stated that in September/October we start scheduling 3rd year clerkships.

Yeah it's crazy. We were told to start thinking of what we want to do after step 1 (e.g. figure out if we want to take it earlier to take a vacation, or later to have more time to study), because we have to schedule it around December/January. Actually, I guess this pertains to everyone here with a 2-year pre-clinical curriculum :scared:

Just had a 2018er stop me in the hall at school and say something along the lines of, "Hey it's (insert name on Facebook)!" My Facebook name is a little unusual so I was taken aback that he knew me since I don't know him. His reply to that statement? "You're totally famous on SDN. Dudeliness, right?"

Utter loss for words

Welcome to my life.

I spent almost a week at a conference and now I have an exam in an hour and a week of pharm lectures to catch up on...what have I done

I hate pharm. Why do I hate it? Because even at 2x speed the instructor sounds like he is speaking at a normal human speed. Why isn't there a 4x speed?!?!?!?

Haha! We have a pharm professor like that too, and he has a voice so soft he almost doesn't make a sound.

Lucky. Our professor's normal speed is 4x. It takes multiple hours to go through one lecture at a slower speed.

Hem/Onc... Ugh, Pathoma thank goodness you exist!
I actually enjoyed hematology, but probably only because I used Pathoma and ignored my professors.

Cardio on the other hand...
This first test was my lowest score I've had so far. Time to buckle down
