So I looked up @joonage on Instagram...there was only one user with that name lololol.

EDIT: Looked up @turayza too. Also only one result lolz.

@claduva94 just realized your username has "UVA" in it. I was always like "what's a claduva?"

Some stranger has a hellnutella instagram, but with no photos. All my social media accounts have my real name, though I'm pretty google anonymous since I was super uninvolved at my UG. :bag: You pretty much get my LinkedIn and then (surprisingly) UVA med... I think they went ahead and created accounts for accepted students?

Hahaha yeahh...clad is a variation of my name. I don't care about anonymity as much anymore so there is that!

That is super interesting! So we are united in UVA. Just not in the way I would wish 😛

I honestly don't think anyone could find me online unless they knew my full name and undergraduate institution. Skills 😎 But yeah, I'm with @claduva94... Anonymity is less important to me now than it used to be, for better or for worse.

That's really annoying! I am not in any major public record because I am a new immigrant. Thank god for that. Actually you can check out anybody's address, income (via tax record), birthday, marital status, criminal record and relatives listed if you pay a small fee $2-30 depending on how many information you need. When I first started trying to date here in New York, I don't trust just anybody and go on dates with them. I always check their background and if anything such as age/marital status/# of children deviated from what I was told, I tend to be very cautious. In general I will leave the information with a friend before I go on dates at places that are exclusive or quiet.

There were two other people that went to Virginia schools. Just a couple seat over then? And the other person from Virginia was four seats to my right? This does sound familiar haha! I wish I had been more attentive.

I think the other VA person was from Tech? Maybe? I was the one from W&M! And since I have a weird memory, I remembered chatting with you awhile back (I think) about which interview dates you selected since I wanted to meet some fellow SDNers in real life...so I was looking out for a fellow from UVA 🙂 I just couldn't figure out how to introduce myself in a non-creepy/socially acceptable way. There should be a code phrase haha!

Yes! I didn't think you were the one from Tech (Boo Tech). But I could have sworn you were on the same side of the table as me! But yes we did discuss it. I'm just clueless haha 🙂 Yes I have been outed at interviews and the person is almost always awkward about it haha. It's too bad I wasn't able to talk to you more! But it looks like I will see you at second look for UVM!!

This is one of the reasons why I'm a huge proponent of community health awareness programs and other public health initiatives. A better educated patient population will improve things for everyone. And this starts at the primary school level. Some kids have absolutely no clue about quality health due to their environment. And I was definitely one of them. With more health awareness, my quality of life would have been way better (even while coping with poverty and other burdens). But instead, I had to deal with an avoidable chronic condition that I often compare to this:

There are practical solutions to some of these healthcare issues. We just don't have our priorities in order. And obviously, the quality of healthcare delivery suffers when we're complacent.
 
I would be rather surprised if someone managed to find myself online.

Regarding the hamburger bit, that's something I'm working to combat with my nonprofit. It's a shockingly prevalent aspect of our current healthcare system that desperately needs (and has needed) fixing!

Based on what you post alone I would have difficulty finding you. But based on other information I found a wealth of information. Based on it I can tell you are beyond modest and amazing. I'm shocked you don't already have 20 acceptances already based on your story! Absolutely impressive and mind-boggling!

What I learned is that a surprising number of people have PhD's in biomedical related fields at younger and younger ages. It's actually quite impressive.

And I'm just here making grilled cheese balls and drinking tears.
