usually MD/MPH will be clinical + some sort of community outreach program development. An MPH isn't strictly necessary to do the advocacy and program design but it's really good training.


A lot of existing MD/MPHs went back for an MPH after practicing medicine for a while. The popularity has led to MD/MPH joint programs increasing....as far as I know.

Agree. An MPH can also be useful for epidemiological and population-based research. A good MD/MPH program will teach you medicine in the larger context of health and the social, economic, and biological determinants that impact health. You'll also learn some practical public health skills (ie. bio statistical and epidemiological methods) and do some actual public health work, be it in the local community or abroad. For me personally, I want to treat patients clinically, but also understand more about why they're becoming sick in the first place and try to prevent it in the future. Overall, the degree is very very broad, and you can do a ton of different things with it. EVERYONE SHOULD DO IT. MPH'S FOR EVERYBODY!!

lol, I mean I'm not a vegetarian or anything so maybe one day I'll try it... just not today lol. Me and couple friends and research mentor feed those ducks on long days so I have gotten pretty use to them.

We have a lot of animals that venture on campus from ducks and turtles to owls. I just think its uncalled for when people try to intentionally run them over 👎.

ya hahaha, the ducks are ok, the geese are mean. I got chased by them before. I was like dude i didnt do anything just walking ahhaha.

I dont like roasted ducks, I like Perking ducks more...skin is crispy, with whatever the magic sauce that they put in and the bun, or the wrapper...I had the best one in NY's China town.

Ya dude, they are so mean. Tried to take a nap by the duck pond and the next thing you know, they were all chasing you and biting you, those suckers can bite and it hurts, they run fast too...

Well on our campus they take their sweet time crossing the road with their young sometimes. Most of the time they run out the way though. This clown purposely swerved into one today when it wasn't even in his way.

I think roasted duck is a bit less crispy, they serve with all the meat. Perking ducks = little meat, more skin = worst than a 1lb burger = heart attack = die happy.

My school pays people to come and duck-nap the ducks cause they get overpopulated.

Oh my goodness I wish they could do that with our geese....we have like 100s at a time leaving their green turds everywhere and they're scary as heck!! Like half your size!!! I wish geese were more commonly edible

they are tasty though. I went to CA and they had roasted geese, they were leaner than ducks. Their eggs were delicious too, their livers deep fried and a glass of Portillo Malbec- my fav red wine now, light red wine with top notes of cherry and plumb, fished it up with the undertone of vanilla.... = heaven :hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry:
