Do all schools have a class play ? I know many schools do, such as UCSF, WUSL, Stanford, UCI. Is this more a tradition of the school or something students might get engaged in ?

Also, to make this more entertaining, post any that you guys find interesting.

We have a comedy/variety show towards the end of each year. The past two have been pretty hilarious. Anybody who is interested can get involved.

Sinai has a coffeehouse night every semester. Students show off their various musical, dance or poetry talents. Also at the end of every school year, we have a class show organized and performed by the first year class. Everyone has a good time poking fun of professors and the courses. 😀

Our MS-2s put on a big one for the incoming first years at their retreat. It's kind of dumb since the audience won't get most of the jokes, but it's a good way to resocialize them properly, which is really the point of a retreat anyway. It's also a lot of fun to make.

By tradition, our 3rd year class does one each year. It started as a amateur talent contest but now it's a big production with singing and dancing. It took our class almost a year just to write the story but I'm glad we did it because our year was the best in the last 5 years (I know, shocking right?). We also made the most money ever. I wish I had the DVD to show y'all but I don't know where I put it.

we have one in the fall or spring i believe. i remember seeing it listed as a talent / sketch show sometime during the year. thought that was kinda odd. apparently not though.

It seems like a lot of fun and a great way to socialize with classmates. I hope my school has one too, although I couldn't find any videos on youtube.

Its funny looking back on the skits!! 🙂 And boy... it will be funny for us!

UT Southwestern has a multicultural show, diwali show, class comedy film, and faculty roast each year. I guess you'd get to socialize with a small group of people who put it on if you decide to help run it. It's really not as big of a deal as it was in college.

No way! That's awesome. I love roasts, and it's even better when it's the faculty.
