I'm currently taking Orgo 2 over 4 weeks, and I'd like to withdraw from it and take it in Spring. My question---if I'm a summer guest student at a different school than my "home" university, do I still need to have that transcript sent to Pharmcas (if there are no other classes on the transcript, just the withdrawn class)?

Typically - you have to account for any gaps in your academic history. If you are asking if you can avoid having that W appear on your application - dont.

It is a small thing to have a W - a W says nothing about what happened. You could have had an emergency/health/family issue. A few Ws will not hurt you (I had 2 + one WF).

What will hurt you is if you lie - or in this case - withhold a transcript. It is not in your best interest, when disclosing it means nothing but lying could get you blacklisted (dishonesty doesn't make a good trait in a pharmacist).

As a note - I am not saying that you are trying to lie - but not sending transcripts from a school you do less than awesome in is a typical tactic use by people trying to mask their GPAs.

Definitely send it to Pharmcas - Then slam dunk Org II in the Fall.

Thanks---that makes sense. I just wasn't sure if a transcript from a school where I just had a withdrawn class and no other classes was still needed. But like you said, it would since it is now a part of my academic record.

Where were you taking Orgo, I noticed you are in Indiana...did you take Orgo at Butler?

Yes---I'm taking Orgo 2 at Butler this semester as guest student, but I normally go to Ball State. I'm going to give it a shot and stick with it. Did you take Orgo at Butler? Who did you have? I have Morgan for lecture and Esteb for lab.
