I have a feeling that my patchy, rat-beard would be grounds for immediate rejection.

OK looks like the consensus is clean shaven...lol.

I actually went to a barber to get my beard trimmed up. The guy ended up shaving it all off. Threw a huge fit.🙂o) Guess it's for the best!

I don't know guys. I can't lie, I like a man with facial hair, but I can't remember the last time I saw a dentist with any of it whatsoever!

what about clean stubble... shave from the chin down, and leave a light beard up top

I'm right there with you; I tend to stay with "groomed stubble", or so I call it. Shaving tends to leave me quite baby faced for a 25 year old. With that said, I am shaving it all for any interviews that I may receive. Not worth upsetting some old school, 95 year old white man from the Good Ol' South.

that's bc you've never met a good looking dentist babygirl! lol

and yeah, i'm way too baby faced for a 25 year old. i was carded the last time i went to see Ted at the theater.

 I feel you on that. When I tell people I graduated, they think I mean graduated from high school.

see avi. IRL i'm as handsome as it is interesting with a beer.

EDIT: here are the real facts

1) i meant to type "beard"
2) i've been drinking wine. a red.
3) not changing the original statement. i stand by every word.

awww!! don't worry about being baby faced. just make sure you've got those pearly whites!!😀

I kept the patch of chin hair, whatever it's called, and had 7 acceptances. You can get away with clean cut looks.

I shaved the day before, so I had a very slight amount of hair showing. I have too much of a baby-face for clean shaven lol 😀

Yep, this is exactly what I did. Not one person at my interview had facial hair. Guess I owe my barber an apology

Goatee? I was just curious did anyone cut their hair before an interview? I was thinking of going to another barber for interviews because my barber usually does fades, Mohawks, and tapers, but I don't think these haircuts suit a professional atmosphere. In my eyes they look unprofessional, but I'm only 19 so I guess I don't have to get all professional looking to impress adcoms yet. I understand looking professional isn't all adcoms look for, but I know it's something to them.

I have no choice but to be clean shaven. I don't have enough testosterone to grow facial hair.
