Hi guys, need some help with some of these concepts. Part I is coming up real soon

1) PaO2 is 104 mmHg and your blood oxygen saturation is only 70%, what could be an explanation of this? Some kind of anemia?

Also, could someone point out some difference between obstructive and constrictive lung diseases?

In obstructive lung disease, the FEV1 is reduced due to obstruction to air escape. Thus, the FEV1/FVC ratio will be reduced. e.g COPD, Asthma

In restrictive lung disease, the FEV1 and FVC are equally reduced due to fibrosis or other lung pathology (not obstructive pathology). Thus, the FEV1/FVC ratio should be approximately normal. e.g Bronchiolitis obliterans
