FA says cleft lip results from the failure of the maxillary prominences to fuse with the medial nasal prominences.
Just did a Q on UW which says cleft lip results from the failure of the maxillary prominences to fuse with the fusion of the intermaxillary segment.
What do the experts think?

Both are correct since medial nasal prominences fuses to form the the intermaxillary segment.
