Hi everyone! Quick question, how much do clerkship grades matter outside of the specialty you're looking into?

My school is on a H/HP/P/F system and I have 3P (Psych, Ob, Fam Med) and 1 HP so far with 3 remaining (neuro, surg, peds) which I hope to H/HP in. Step is a little lackluster with 218.

This depends heavily on the specialty, the program, the rest of your application, and the particular person reading your application on a particular day. Everything matters, but it's very hard to answer this question in any kind of objective way.

That makes sense. If it helps, I am very sure that I would be applying internal medicine and not looking to do top 20 by any means whatsoever (clearly need at least a 240 from what I've heard). Top choice atm is Maine.

Just do your best and apply broadly. That's all anyone can advise you.
