I know it has probably been mentioned already, but can anyone tell me how useful te Cliff's Notes 5 Practice PCAT tests are? I'm going to go buy it tommorrow from a local bookstore and I just want to be able to put my knowledge to test to make sure that I'm ready for the test on the 23rd. I am almost finished with the 2008 edition of the Kaplan PCAT book and was just looking for another source. In addition, I am going to take a practice test from the PCAT website to really get a feel for the real thing, but I just want to know how good the Cliff's notes Practice Test is. Can someone help me out? Sorry for the long post. 🙂

I would not recommend using cliff's to study the math section because that has changed since cliff's was released. I recommend buying the new Barron's book that just came out (Aug. 1st, 2008) that would be the most up to date.
Cheers!

I've heard many times that Barron's is too easy compared to the actual test. Research the PCAT forum and get advice from people who have already taken the PCAT to determine the best study sources for the math section.

they're both good for math

barron's is more organized and easy to go through

cliffs has harder questions so you will be more challenged but their tests are disorganized. there are also wrong answers, for ex. quantitative question 198 from practice test 1

Do you mean that Cliff's has harder questions in all the sections?

I haven't taken the PCAT, so I was just wondering. Thanks for the input.

cliffs is harder compared Barron's (the new one) in all the sections...I can't compare it to other tests and I haven't taken it yet either :scared:

I did buy that Cliff's 5 Practice test book and it seems good. as someone has mentioned there were like 2 or 3 questions so far that i found had wrong answers but for the most part its good. Except that geometry is not covered on PCAT and Cliffs math portion has some in it but over all its good because has lots of questions
